8 days late and negative pregnancy test.

I took a pregnancy test 2 days ago and it came out negative, and still no period. I am starting to get really frustrated because i have been trying for about 8 months to get pregnant. We are doing everything right to do so, i am keeping track of my ovulation in 3 different ways, i am watching what i eat, staying healthy and active and taking my vitamins. I feel pregnant but then again i could just be getting my period, is there any advice out there on what else i can do to increase my chances of getting pregnant?

this was my experience, i was 3 weeks late for my period with 6 negative tests but i felt pregnant. Just before my next period was due, i got a positive resullt from from my doctor, which would have made me 8 weeks pregnant by my dates, went for a scan and nothing showed up! had bloods done to confirm i am pregnant... turned out i am only 4-5 weeks gone. So i either ovulate very very late, and got pregnant right before my period was due or i just had a blip on my cycle. But either way, 3 weeks of negative tests... and here i am, 5 weeks pregnant!

hi,
how are you? have you gotten any positive result after your first post here. I am now 18 DPO, I did a test on 16 DPO and it was BFN. I am on Clomid Day 2-6, using OPK (positive on 1st & 2nd Jan), ovulated on 3rd Jan. Have anyone on Clomid gotten BFN on 16 DPO and BFP later on? I don't have any sign of AF, but nauseous occasionally. I would appreciate someone to share their same experience.

Hi!
Eighty-five percent of normal healthy couples will conceive within one year of regular unprotected intercourse.  So, one option ( if you are under 35 ) is to keep trying for awhile, but focus on something else!
If you were my patient, and wanted something done, I would do some basic tests such as prolactin levels, thyroid functions, FSH level on day 3, and semen analysis.
I would also do a progesterone level on day 21.  The other test I would suggest is a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) which is a dye study of the uterus and tubes, to be sure that they are not blocked.  If all of these tests were normal, I would give you the option to keep trying, or go to Intra-uterine insemnation which has a slightly higher success rate than the "regular way".
Hope this helps!
