The lungs are not fully developed as well as other organs at 5 months pregnant so while baby has all fingers and toes and such no it's not really fully developed which is why babies take approx 40 weeks to "cook"

At 5 months it is very possible, but it is not considered a m/c you will have to give birth. If the baby is alive it will be considered a live birth and the baby will die within a few hours, b/c until you are 24wks they can not do anything to save the baby. If the baby is born dead then it will be considered a stillborn. And your water may or may not break, since the membrane and baby is still to small all of it may fit though your birth canal. I just went though all this about 4 weeks ago, so I know from experience. And if the baby is born alive you will receive a health card and all that just like you would if the child was okay.

i read that at 5 months+ its considered a still birth not a miscarriage. but it is still possible to lose the baby because they arent fully developed yet

The baby, looks very much a skinnier version of what it will when it is born, however, the baby is not fully developed and wont be for a long while yet, babies born at 5 months will very likely die shortly after birth if they breathe at all. As for having a miscarriage at this stage, it is not as common but it does happen I am afraid to say. The signs of miscarriage you should watch out for bleeding, pain etc,  at 5 months, your waters will break and you will most likely go into premature labour and actually deliver the baby. I hope this isn't going to happen to you and I hope all is well good luck and all the best. :)
