Test 3 days before AF is due?? I'm so confused

If you took a test 3 days before AF is due and you are pregnant it would show up positive right? I'm so confused I already tested this month and figured I was getting my period, but just today (3 days before AF) I started feeling sick to my stomach and light headed then I got a few hot flashes.

I think I'm losing my mind. I assume this is really bad PMS. So again 3 days before AF is due a test should be able to be accurate right?  btw I used a first response.

Thanks in advance for your help!

NicMom~ I got a negative when I tested 3, and 1 day before AF. I only got a BFP after 2 days AFTER I missed AF.

Give it a few days, if you miss af then test.

And, I tested at 10 dpo and got a faint positive...that would be 5 days before my missed period...and at 11 dpo I tested again and I got a 'normal' positive...just fyi

Well, even if you got the FRER, it does say that the percentage isn't 100% accurate 5 days before your missed period...it is like 80% on day five, 85% on day 4, 90% on day three, 95% on day two and like 99.99 on the first day of your missed period...or something like that, it has been like 5 months since I have read the box.  So, it is possible to be pregnant and have the test not pick it up.  Good luck!
