Due date question

I have a question about my due date that is kinda confusing. I asked my OB a few times and all she says is "we'll see". Anyways... My due date based on my last mperiod is July 28th but based on the last 2 ultrasounds it is July 11th because of the babys measurments. So thats like 3 weeks ahead. So technically even though I am only 30w5d the baby is measuring like 33weeks. So does that mean that I may have the baby between 3-7 weeks (based on the ultrasound) or do you think that the baby will go by the due date and come between 5-9 more weeks? Im so confused and my OB just says we'll see but I need to know so I can prepare. Sorry if I confused you ladies

This late in pregnancy dating when you are due is reliable within a three week window. So, they don't change the due date this late because of the difficulty. You will probably go into labor around your due date but have a larger baby. A friend of mine had her baby within two days of her due date and her little on weighed over 12 lbs.

usually doctors go by the due date that they get from the first u/s they give you. I remember how on my first u/s i was given one day but the baby was measuring older on the second u/s and the doc said that the most accurate is the first one. I guess it's because some people also measure bigger as they go farther into their pregnancy either by natural getting that way from i guess eating alot or by gestational diabetes. they usually stick to the original due date to make sure they baby gets as far to the 40wks as possible and if the baby comes a little early that's ok too.

Ok thanks ladies. I am going to prepare everything (finish nursery and pack my hospital bag) this weekend just to have it done just to be safe.

Its possible that what you thought was your last period, was either implantation bleeding or bleeding of another kind (which can happen during pregnancy) and you were aready a few weeks pregnant at that time.  "If" the ultrasound dating is correct, that means you had to have been pregnant BEFORE what you thought was your "LMP" (rather than ovulating late).  Also, ultrasounds can be off by about 1 week and as the other ladies say, your baby may just be big.

Do you have a normal 28 day cycle? That can affect when you ovualte and change your dates...but normally if it is longer and a later date. I'd say that maybe you're just gonna have a big baby. I'd go by my lmp date because if they change it to the earlier one and you go over due you will just be waiting and waiting and everyone will be bugging you when is the baby gonna come, if someone can't reach you they will think you are in labour...

Well, I would go by your LMP dates then, but if he/she's measuring that far ahead [also a small possibility that the ultrasound tech was off on his/her info, as well] the baby may come early. Then again, maybe not!
Guess like your midwife said, You'll see. :P  Sorry I don't have a better answer, lol.

Sorry I can't help you too much, but this could be for one of two things.. The dates could be off, are you SURE of your lmp date?.. you could have ovulated later.. Or, the baby is just bigger.. which doesn't make him older (lol)  so it's pretty hard to tell really..
