Could labor be around the corner?

Girls, I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I have period like cramps. It's actually my first time feeling them constantly so it's not Braxton hicks that go away, but instead just steady cramping in the pelvic region. Also I've been experiencing vaginal muscle pain the last couple of days, I haven't had intercourse for months so it's probably the baby dropping lower. Could this possibly mean that labour is on its way   soon? Or is this normal and I'm over thinking  it.

It could be! My experience tho.. I'm due in 4 days and the past week I've woken up with mild/moderate cramps that feel like period cramps. Once I get up and drink water they go away. I'm thinking I'm a little dehydrated from not drinking all night but I'm really hoping labor is soon. Good luck!

Has your doctor recently checked your cervix. Im having the same thing. Last week my cramping only came at night. Now they come here Nd there through out the day but they still only last about 30 seconds. Ive also got the some discharge every now and then. My doctor still hasn't check my cervix. Ill be 38 weeks tomorrow. So hopefully we'll go into labor soon.
