I would go to another dr! That is not good that he still is not trying to crawl! I would look into somehthing cauaseing him pain and talk with a physical therapist to get him moving!!
HeatherLF16- my littel one did not like it either and still does not for mor ethen a min or so. I suggest get him rolling, roll him around back and forth so he learns to move around, first once he is rolling all around he won't mind it as much and second he will still get the head control from it. Now as far as toys, there are flat things like a long book, not sure how else to describe it, it has four sections and two crinkle and one has a squeaker but one side has black and white and the other side has some colors. My little one has babies on it, things like that are good cuz they san consentrate on keeping the head up without straining to look up. ALso they have these mats now with a thing you lay them on so they are on an incline wiht the mat underneath to look at. I have seen them but don't know more about them. But my little one did not even get to lay on his back as he has reflux for a long time and I as so worried about his head control but it is fine!
my son hayden turned 1 on nov 5th and he still don't want to be on his tummy. he don't even crawl or even standing not even trying to walk. he is sitting up and he pulls himself to get around. the doctor told us not to worry about it but I am. when my 1 st son we got on his level and had tummy time together. he loved loud noises so we went and got toys that made loud noises.
Good to see you still posting on here. Franky is 4 months this weekend =)
He likes tummy time, but he has one of those activity mats for the floor that have tummy time activities as well as the toys that hang above for him to lay on his back (it's by baby einstein at target I think about $35). You can position the light show anywhere so you can put that where he can see it on his belly (it plays music too). Also, try laying him down on his tummy and laying in front of him so he sees you doing it and talking to him. Putting toys with music and lights in front of him help too. Franky has mirrored closets in his room so he loves to look at himself in the mirror while doing tummy time with the toys propped against the mirror =) Hope that helps.
