She needs to be concerned about abnormal placentation, meaning she will be at risk for placenta previa (the placenta covering the cervical os) and placenta accreta (the placental tissue invades the uterine wall); also,short interpregnancy intervals have been associated with a statistically significant increase in the risk of preterm birth, and low birth weight.
If she plans on keeping the pregnancy the sooner she seeks prenatal care the better.
