Cleaners and Pregnancy

Last night I cleaned my oven well after I cleaned it using the Oven off stuff I forgot you weren't suppose to touch it and I grabbed the scrub pad with my bare hand to throw it in the washer to be cleaned. I think the cleaner on the pad burned my hand it feels weird and you can't feel the lines on my fingers anymore, I also started to feel sick and had a weird taste in my mouth. Could this have hurt my little baby girl? Is my baby Ok? What could this have done to my baby girl? I am 20 weeks pregnant now. I am so worried about her!

If you are very worried about it, don't hesitate to call the doctor.  I think the baby will be okay, though, as it wasn't constant or repeated contact/breathing of the cleaner.  It's amazing how resilient unborn babies are.  Best thing to do is call the doctor, though.
I hope all is well!

Hi!
Don't be terribly worried.  MOST things do not pass through the skin in any amount large enough even to enter the blood stream, so it is very likely that your worrying about the chemicals is more harmful than the chemicals themselves!
It is of course adviseable to avoid contact with skin, and eyes, and not to breathe the fumes, but your body is well designed to protect your little baby girl!
Good luck!
