The infamous mucous plug
Alright, I have read that the mucous plug can come out in sort of one big "chunk" so to speak, or little bits at a time.. If it came out gradually, it would probably be in with my discharge, and I'm wondering if I would for sure notice that it was even there? I've been paying attention and the past couple days I've had an increase in discharge [although I know that's normal getting farther along] I even woke up this morning and had it sorta run down my leg [sorry tmi, i know :-S ] but it's just like milky white, occasionally yellowish, nothing really unusual about it, although I did see what I think was a piece of my mucous plug when I was curiously checking my cervix [don't freak out on me I was being really careful] so I've an idea of what it looks like now, but I was wondering if it would/could also be coming out with my discharge, since I've had such an increase or am I overthinking it? Just like anyone at 37 weeks I am eager to see any sign, I want to be ready and I have so much stuff left to do.. I just want to be prepared to know it will be here in a few days, or a week or few weeks even.. I just wish I knew for sure..

MIne came out over the period of a week and everyday it was like looking at a tissue that someone with a sinus infection blew their nose in. _ EWWWWWWWWWW!

Everyone says it's like snot... What I saw that I thought was part of it, was like clear with some little pieces of white in it and was one mass and was stretchy-like.. Like snot I guess.. I am pretty sure that was a small piece of it, but it was only cause I was messing with it, which made me decide to stop.. lol

you may not even lose your mucus plug until you are in full out labor. You could also lose it many days BEFORE you go into labor.

lmao i seen it too jess, it was quite disturbing, especially because i just ate some clam chowder lmao. Oi i think ima go lay down for a bit lol.

Most of the time it will have some blood in it, And I dont think it should be running, Most like a bugger.....Go over to the 35+ form there is a post about this with a Pic......
I don't think what you are seeing is your plug. CM can do all sorts of weird things in pregnancy.
I had a show at home, it was actually greenish, very snot-like - GROSS, when I wiped after going to the loo. I was having contractions, and it was 1 week after my due date (the day i had her) My hubby saw the rest of my show, at hospital. Poor guy - still haunts him now. We threw my underwear away.
