Braxton hicks question

I'm 20 weeks 6 days and I just had a series of the most painful I don't even know what to call them. It was like a sharp tightening pain across my lower abdomen. It hurts so bad. Are Braxton hicks supposed to hurt or should I call my doctor?

Im due Dec 21st so right along with u, i started getting what deel like Braxton hicks about a week ago. I just get tightening tho, no pain or anything but i do cramp from time to time and get a lot of  pressure and im carrying super low.

I wasn't like my normal cramping I get. And only lasted a few seconds

I get these too. Just your muscles stretching

Im actually feeling the same im 25 weeks and doctor said its normal its because of everything down there stretching and getting ready for the baby.

They just sound like cramps and stretching braxton hicks and cramps are different. I get both :( the hicks do not hurt the cramps do and is completely normal but your uterus stretching
