Drug Test
I recently found out the my ex boyfriend (baby's father) has been doing a horrible drug. I threatened him if he didn't stop I wouldn't let him be in the delivery room to see his son being born. He claims he has stopped but I feel like he still does it. Is it possible to ask the hospital the day I go in to deliver to drug test him to see if he is clean or not?
I understand that there is no scientific proof but that's the way the doctor explained it to me...
That or he was just lieing to me, to make me feel better about the situation..
I'm not trying to scar you but this was my case...

Look up to affects of meth on a persons brain.....if he decided to get one high day around the child he may not know what he's doing....I've seen this first hand and knowing what I went threw I pray to God that as soon as you leave the hospital you file for full custody whether he signs or not.
My thing is once he's on the bc he could take your child across the country could be high on meth and not bring your child back to you if he's going to be on the birth certificate you need too immediately go to the court house and file custody papers so that you have FULL custody and if u want him to see the child make sure he has supervised visitation only.
He can file to establish paternity so it may not be up to you entirely. If you are able you may want to talk to a lawyer about the best course of action.
Id rather be safe then sorry like I said it took a year of battles threw the courthouse to make them finally believe me that he was on drugs. Just making you aware that once he signs the BC he has just as many rights over the baby as you do.
Mysterious bundle of joy, I am sorry for your loss but there is NO scientific backing for what you are saying. At all. I don't think it is a good idea to be an alarmist and worry someone for no good reason. There is no current link between meth alarmist nd sperm mutation. There is a very loose link between pot and mutation but that is debatable as well. Once an embryo is implanted no sperm or anything really reach it because it is protected by the cervix. You also cannot transfer drugs via semen. There is no evidence of this anywhere in any peer reviewed journal.
Well this has been killing me but I have been trying not to stress on it because I know stress can affect the baby.

I've miscaried one of my babys because of the man I was with was doing meth... meth F U C K S with men's sperm it mutates it so there for it can affect an unborn child.. if it breaches thru the placenta sack...
I tested positive for meth during that time n I had never used it... because of the transfer high and his sperm being in side of me killed my child..
So yes it can effect the baby if he's using it enough

That's what I probably will do but I just don't want him in the delivery room if he is "on one". But when the time comes I'll see :'/
Yes, that means he was "on one" "tweaking" "gaked out" what ever you wanna call it he was high...
Honestly it is hard to stop once you have created habit! Trust me I know from experience.. the only reason I straightened up was because I was pregnant..
He has to stop for him self... truthfully I would let him sign the birth certificate and see the birth of his child and then kick him to the curb... say he is not allowed to see his child till you know for 100% fact he is clean! Check into rehab or have him pay for a test every 3 days and make him give it to you..
Make him work for it!!
Meth is expensive if he can afford to buy it then he can afford to pay for a drug test every 3 days to give to you so he can see his baby...

I understood her question to be if his use could affect his sperm and thus the baby. Which it can't. I didn't see her state he used around her, which could expose the baby to some risk, yes.
Last time I saw him he was burning through so many topics. Kept cracking his neck. Would talk about the most random things, and most of the time it doesn't make sense. I knew he was still using that stupid drug.

You are mistaken! Meth can be transferred thru the skin and you would get a "transfer" high.. and depending on how much is used the transfer high its self can test positive in a drug test...

Signs of Meth are dilated pupals, irratableness, figety (constantly moving, working, extremely focused on things or opposite scatter brained all over the place etc.) Cant sit still, Not sleeping, bags under eyes, no need for food like to eat, only wanting a certain type of drink or water... talking fast, mes sing up words, not talking clearly....

If its marijuana it stays in the body 30days maximum 2week minimum... tests from dollar tree will work...
If its synthetic marijuana I forget what its actually called.. it DOESNT show up in drug tests
Mushrooms do not show up in drug tests
Now if its Meth it stays in the body 3 days n would have to test with in the 3 days of use to test possitive.. weather its smoked, snorted or shot up

If its heroine it stays in the body for 1 day weather its snorted, smoked or shot up.. you would have to test same day...
Now if its experimental drugs like 2ce, 25i, 25b, 2cd any of those types of drugs they do not come up in drug tests...

Not putting him on tje birth certificate is not the answer if heaven forbid God decsides to call him home before your child is 18your child Will not receive the money he's intitlted to through social security or if you need any financial help through the state it would-be very hard without his name on the certificate the 1tree drug test are very accurate my employer uses it for her business and so are many other companies right now you need too pull away until he gets help
