Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that you should inform your doctor about your pains--just so that they can eliminate ectopic pregnancy from the list of possibilities. Once you are sure that there is nothing serious going on, it would be safe to try over the counter acetopminophen for discomfort. Most other medications (Ibuprofen, Aleve, etc) are NOT advisable during pregnancy.
Good luck!

That's exactly what I felt around week 5 till 9 a lot of back pain. My doctor told me it was to soon for lower back pain and to stretch often. I started doing that and it did work but it wasn't from one day to another, It took several days. Just try stretching and slowly. Hope it helps and u feel better :)
Some pains are normal but for six weeks I'm not positive if that is normal or not. I wish I could be of more help but I just wanted to let you know that someone read your question. Regular strength tylenol is okay but I wouldn't recommend it during the first trimester unless you absolutely need it. Try stretching: place your feet shoulder width apart and raise your hands as high into the air as you can, and then bend at the waist and touch the floor. Or with your feet in the same position, bend from side to side. Another good one is to support yourself with a counter or chair, and gently swing one leg at a time as far as you can get it both ways. If the pain gets really intense, or is accompanied by hard cramping and red colored spotting, call your doctor.
