is it possible to have a false positive pregnancy test?

i did the test tuesday.. clearblue..

the stick went pink and it was negative but the little diamond shaped box next to the +/- box didnt have the line in...
(it says that the stick needs to go pink and the diamond shaped box needs the line in to show that the test has worked)..
i checked the test the next day and it was a big fat positive...

i then did another test that was negative..

I am 3 weeks late for my period.. my boobs feel swollen, i have white discharge, pains in lower abdomen like period pains and im sooo confused and stressed out about it..

i had unprotected sex on march 13th.. took the morning after 15th march... went on antibiotics 16th march and then had little brown discharge on 19th march that lasted around 3 days... since then nothing.. so dependin on how u work it im either 35 days over oorr.. 49 days over... HELP please guys :)

I agree with the others, this sounds like a faulty test and therefore the result is null and void.  Get another test to be sure.

I agree, take another test that one was faulty. Never recheck pregnancy tests after the time limit. They have a tendency to turn positive after so long.

If nothing showed in the control window, then the test is faulty. Tests read after the time limit are not accurate. To clear it all up, I would take a digital test and read it within the time limit on the test.
