Getting mixed hpt resuls help

I did a some pregnancy tests last week and had 4 positives but there we're also some negatives so i have left it till today to do another one as i have worked out i will be just 3 weeks if i am pregnant and that tests are not accurate before then. The test i took today was negative so i went to the health clinic for a test and there's also came back negative. Now i'm really confused and quite upset as i don't see how i could have 4 positive tests (different brands) and not be pregnant. I'm having symptoms too -  sore breasts, going the toilet a lot, cramping and i'm very bloated where as i normally have a flat stomach. I've not had any bleeding since i took my first test a week sunday gone  so i don't think i've had a chemical or miscarriage. Can anyone help?

Hello,

HPT's vary in their sensitivity and thus the more sensitive ones could read positive while others negative.  To know for certain I'd recommend you have a blood test drawn for your hCG level.

a positive is a positive! the positive results were probably more sensitive tests than the negative. There are false negatives but not false positives....for the hpt to be positive your body has to be producing the hcg hormone there is no other reason for it to be positive unless you have hcg in your body

sounds like you were pregnant, it may still be a chem. pregnancy, OR maybe you tested w/very sensative brands. sometimes the dr's office doesn't use sensitive enough tests.

give it a week and test again! Good luck!
