Got the H1N1 shot vaccine yesterday

I found out today that our local Walgreens has the injection form of the H1N1 vaccine. So, I went and got it yesterday evening. I feel fine so far lol!!! I think I am officially the first of all of us to get it. DS couldn't get his b/c of an ear infection (such a long story, and needless to say I'm ticked at the pediatrician he saw yesterday morning - they diagnosed him with allergies as where the Take Care Clinic found the ear infection and compacted ear wax...I took him to the clinic b/c his cough once again got worse during/after his nap....) So anyways, I'll keep you all updated!!! Glad I finally have it though!! Especially since we are flying to Puerto Rico in just over a week! And please, for those of you who do not agree with this vaccine, please please please keep you negative comments to yourselves. Thank You!

I'm still feeling just fine lol! My arm didn't even hurt as bad as when I got the regular flu shot. I hope everyone else is able to get their vaccine very soon! As for DS, he's doing better - his cough isn't as harsh and his runny nose and congestion have gotten better too. Hopefully he'll be 100% soon - we are on day 3 on antibiotics :-)

I'm glad you were able to get it!  I wish I could find it around here.  I have been impatiently waiting.  Hopefully it will come to Texas soon!!!  I am 34 weeks going on 35 and can't breathe at all.  I would hate to catch the flu.  Hurry up swine flu vaccine!

i barely got my regular flu shot this past thursday and supposed to be getting the swine flu one here in 2 wks
i was totally against it at first but after doin research and what not ive had a change of heart i guess you can say
its really the most responsible thing to do at this point for you and your baby
so you made a good decision to get it and hope all is well!

I probably won't be able to get mine until my Nov 2nd appointment but good for you. When my family went on a trip to Ghana last month I wanted to have at least the regular Flu shot but it wasnt available from Kaiser.

Our hospitals and such don't have them yet either - Our health dept. does, but they aren't giving them yet for some odd reason. I guess they don't have their clinics set up yet. But I found it at our Walgreens :-)

Good for you!  I wish I could find it around here.  Even our hospital can't get it.
