I took a Publix brand hpt it had a very faint positive line but the line appeared after i broke the hpt open. I broke it open 5 mins after i took it , closed it again and then 7 mins later the faint line appeared. 2 days after i had my period and it lasted for the usual five days. AM I PREGNANT

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you to repeat the test.  If it is positive, then it is likely to  be the real thing.  If it is negative and your period was normal, then you are probably not pregnant.
Another option would be to see your doctor for a blood test.

Some women can have periods all through tbe pregnancy i would have a doc draw blood for hcg count its most accurate

I took a cheap test first I had a very faint positive line I was straight down the shops to get a clear blue digital and when I took it it said pregnant 1-2 weeks I'm now 25 weeks and 3 days pregnant with a baby boy!

You might have had a chemical pregnancy. Please research it. Gl I doubt your pregnant atm though since you had a regular menses and if you break the test it isn't valid.

You are most likely pregnant.  I got the same result on the 2 hpts I took..very faint positive line. I took my *** to the patient first and had a blood test taken.  It was positive.  Get a blood test done to know for sure!

I Took A Cheap Brand And Got A Very Faint Positive, Then Preceded To Take 3 Digital Ones All Says I'm Pregnant! So I Recommend The Digital (: I'm Only About 4 Weeks Though With My First.

My positive line was barely there. Like at first I thought I was just seeing things it was so faint. Now I'm due in two weeks.

I recommend the ET brand that digitally says pregnant or not. My first test had the two line symptoms and wasn't a "real" positive answer. Week later took a digital test and it gave definite answer of positive.

If you had a normal period like always, chances are no. But if you are that worried, I'd go to the doctor.
