I've had preeclamplsia with both of my pregmancies and been on labetalol and nifedipine. This baby is so far fine and my son is a very happy healthy toddler. I believe I got as far as I did in my pregnancies thanks to these medications so would definitely recommend taking them for baby's sake.

The BP meds commonly used in pregnancy are methyldopa or labetalol.

Yes myself, the medication the Drs prescribe does not harm your child what so ever. They wouldn't put unborn babies or yourself in harm. Ever since I have been taking my medication I feel a lot better and my baby is very much healthy and extremely active.
