Confused - Discharge - Possibly Pregnant?

Hey everyone, I have been using the withdrawal method with my boyfriend for the past 4 years and have been told by my OB that pre-ejaculate contains a bit of sperm and carries the risk of me getting pregnant. Which, actually, I wouldn't mind, not that we're trying. Anyways, for the past week and a half I have been having very light tan discharge accompanied by a substantial amount of watery like discharge that literally soaks my underwear - been having to change them 2-3 times a day but just can't keep them dry. I have never before in my life had this type of discharge-always white or clear when I'm not on my period and never soaking my underwear. Last night before bed i went to the bathroom and noticed a change, when I wiped I saw a mucus discharge, clear and white, stringy, like i could hold it... Really weird since this tan discharge has been relentless. Was wondering if any of you have had this in early pregnancy or anything? Discharge has not been accompanied by itchiness or really much odor. I don't want to pay for a office visit if this is something you ladies might be able to help me with!
By the way I unfortunately cannot remember the date of my last period. I had a pap smear and several other tests back in December and my OB said everything was 100% normal down yonder.
Sidenote: Last night I had my first heart palpitation that I've ever had in my life and it scared me, my friend who recently had her first child told me she had heart burn and heart palpitations all through her pregnancy. I didn't know if this relates but thought i would add it because it scared me.

Clear/whitish/stringy sounds like EWCM to me. Egg White Cervical Mucous. You may just have a lot of it this cycle. I have months when I don't have so much, and months like this one for me that I have more of it. EWCM is your fertile mucous, there's different stages from one period to another. Websites will say you're dry after your period, then it becomes sticky, watery, and EWCM around when you ovulate, and back to dry and then you could get more EWCM looking mucous right before your period starts.

Maybe your heart palpitation is from you thinking about this mucous stuff. I had a lot of anxiety when I was early in pregnancy, but I have usually have it when I'm not pregnant. If you can't remember when your last period was, and you know for sure it wasn't recent (within the last three weeks) then I'd say wait two weeks and take a test. Do you know how long your cycles are/are you regular? You really should keep track of your periods, so in case something like this does happen you'll have a better idea of when to test, and if/when you do decide to try for a baby it'll make it easier to figure out when you're ovulating.
