positive test. five weeks

I have one child already and for the last week  I've been feeling all the symptoms of pregnancy. I took one test and it came up inaccurate so I room another one the next morning and it came up positive. The test was clear to read. I went to the doctor that day and they did a test and it said positive. They told me I was five weeks pregnant. This was two days ago. when I woke up this morning my back was hurting really bad and when I went to pee I was spotting bright red. Now the flow is medium bright red. Im cramping real bad. Can anyone tell me what is going on?

I also was 5 weeks and 1 day when I started bleeding medium and really bad pain.  I did have have a miscarriage. That was in March and more im 9 wks and 3 days.  I hope your s is Just plantation.  I wish you the best of luck.

I'm sorry both for my very late response and also for your loss!
The most common reason for a loss such as yours is that there is some type of abnormality with the pregnancy.  This type of loss is extremely common (all your friends will probably start to tell you their stories now)
and most of the time a normal healthy baby comes along fairly soon.
I often look at this as a good sign that everything is working and that you can conceive normally.

I had this same thing happen to me.I missed my period by three days n took a test it was positive. Then a few days later I started spotting I was terrified so I went to the doctor she said it was normal but if my pain got worse or I got clotting to go to the hospital. The next day it got worse went to the hospital and they ran test s n did an ultrasound and told me my dates must have been off that I wasn't five weeks but four n I was having a chemical pregnancy. Which is very common I guess but it occurs in the first five weeks n u basically are pregnant but the egg doesn't attach so u get a heavy painful period around the time u were due for it or up to a week late. I was really upset but I know it wasn't meant to be and im now pregnant again five and a half weeks hoping this works out this time. Unfortunately there is no way to know if everything is ok without going to thedoctors because some women bleed in the first trimester n it can be perfectly fine the best thing to do is not srress whatever is going to happen will happen. You are in my thoughts I hope everything works out.

Update: I did lose the baby...but the doctor did say that we can try for another one when  I stop bleeding.

I'm also 5weeks and 6days today and I have been spotting. At first it was very lite red and I didn't bleed till yesterday.I went to the ER to get checked and they told me I had an overian sist on my ovary which is normal in pregnancy and it is also normal to spot in your first trimester and some females tend to spot through out there whole pregnancy but there is no sexual intercourse so whatever. If the bleeding increases with cloths or fetal tissue I suggest you go to th ER because that's what they told me. But the cause of my bleeding doc said may be from my sits which is okay and no harm to the baby & that may be why I was bleeding and for me to be on bed rest till my next doctors visit and today I have my doctors visit I've stop bleeding today & I would be glad to tell you how my visit went to maybe help you more. But you do need to know you may or may not be having a miscarriage so as I told myself it's all in the good lords hands and it is a 50-50 chance for anyone that is bleeding vaginal.

You are having a miscarriage. At least that's what it sounds like. Same thing happened to me. But I didn't even know I was pregnant. I got bliss which I thought was my period, them cramps so bad I was bald up on the floor crying with my 1 yr old crawling all over me. I called the ambulance and when I got to the er they said I was pregnant but losing the baby. But check with your dr to be sure everything is ok.

No I will find out tomorrow. my bleeding has lightened again but I haven't stopped. Im no longer hurting or cramping at all

Thats not a good sign. Have you called your doc yet?They are going to want to see you.

No it's picked up even more this morning and the pains in my stomach are even worse.

u poor thing I bleed at 5wks but only spotting the doctor said if I was to start clotting and had really bad pains go straight to the hospital. ..has ur bleeding settle love ?
