How old were you when..

You got your period?! Lol
I was talking with a lady at the WIC office, she's 4wks pregnant with her 5th child, ages 12-6yrs. & her hubby wanted her to get an abortion because they couldnt afford another and on top of that both thier 12yr & 6yr old got thier periods this year. Wow. Anyway,  lol , I started to think about when I got my first period (15 yrs old) & I pray my daughters don't get it that early.  What about you guys?

Me and my sister got it around the same time. I actually got it a week after her. I was 12 and she was 9. I know a childhood friend who got it at 7.

My aunt was 18 when hers started. But there was abuse in her life when she was a child so the doctor said it could have been from trauma or something.. and her body decided to wait? Idk but all the soy and stuff in foods these days is making it younger every year and making menapause sooner too :(

We started getting the "talk" in school in 4th grade. Middle school is the common age. Girls who are very active produce more testosterone than those that aren't and it causes them to start later, bleed lighter and have less regular cycles.

I was 9. My mom started when she was 7 and her mom when she was 6. But we also come from a long line of PCOS and endometriosis.
