I have PCOS and I just had a baby so there is hope sweetheart. Good luck and keep us posted!
I know what you mean. A few months ago I was late and took a test and got a light line so i took another got another light line so i went online and seen all the A LINE IS A LINE post and got excited. Two days later i got my period.
Digital tests are really the only way to avoid being confused. They say one in four women misread a traditional pregnancy test for a reason. There's just too much room for error.
I am so sorry! Please keep us posted as to how you are doing!
I only trust digital tests now. No ifs ands or buts with them. They literally spell it out for you. No questions asked. I would never use a line one again if it was given to me for free.
update :
I did just find out Wed Dec 9th I have pcos!
I am currently taking provera and getting ready to start today metformin!
not nessasarily, your blood levels could have gone down, i got a post urine, and a 0 neg blood test, so no, just because one is post and the other is neg doesn't mean that the test was wrong could always mean a chemical preg, but this is hard to confirm since there is no clinical signs of a baby or preg.
Yeah i agree...a line is not always a line. I had a positive test with Clear Blue. It was faint but came up right away. My husband saw it too. My period came 4 days later.I was lucky i got pregnant the following month. My son is 11 months now and i am now 35 weeks pregnant with baby #2.
I would recommend whoever got positive to retest again in the next 2 days or so to ensure the line they were seeing was really a line....
My + equate was a pink dye!
Well Equate is a blue-dye test and they are notorious for evaporation lines. It's hard to distinguish grey (evap line) from blue (real line). If you want a GOOD digital test then you should use Clearblue Easy. It is the most sensitive digital that I'm aware of. I'd wait at least 3 days before taking it if you still haven't gotten AF. Waiting a week would be even better!
My cam doesn't take good pictures but it was light pink not the gray color you would get! even on the Answers that I took back in March it was a tent faint pink line!
As you can see on the equate I took back in May because I never had a period that month there was no squinting involve it was a +!
yeah digital is best I did how ever bought another equate and it was a BFN!
This is why digital tests might be better in many cases. No squinting at lines, no wondering about evaporation lines.
yeah I took the test and went the next day and had the blood test but if i was pregnant wouldn't the hcg levels still be in my system?
I told the dr about the positive preg test that was why i was there!
CORRECTION IN FIRST LINE ABOVE, meant to say False POS.
It is more likely that women have a CHEMICAL PREGNANCY, rather then a False Neg, you could have been Preg. Just because you went and got a Blood test does not mean you were not preg. I was on my honeymoon on june 3rd comming off my pills, and i thought that made me spot for two days, thought nothing of it, went home and 17 days later i took a preg test and it was pos. A few days later i went to the Dr and they said my blood was at 0 and i was not preg any longer, this happends so often that women do not even know it. If i didnt take a test i would not have known, So just beware, that it is real hard to get a false pos, but im sure it is possible, but you should also look into chemical preg. Because most women who say false alarm, did in deed have a chemical pregnancy, which basicly is a really early preg that can not implant itself, there for you see nothing on the sono, and there is no proof you were ever preg expect the urine test, or sometimes blood test. Thought this might help alittle. Good luck to all.
If you had faint positives then you most likely experienced a chemical pregnancy (if you are extremely certain they are not evaporation lines).
But you're also right that a line is not always a line. Because sometimes they really are evaporation lines. That's why it's always important to wait until you see a dark, thick line and/or get a blood test (which you did).
Oh, I meant I had trouble for a while but we finally got pregnant. I'm 22 weeks now.
Yes, definitely have a new doctor test your PCOS b/c it could be as simple as eithe rgetting hormones under control or taking clomid. Good luck to you guys!
Thank you again and I guess it will all work out in the end!
tons of baby dust!
My Obgyn said something about pcos but he never tested me for it so I don't know if I have it for sure or not probley who ever I see next I will ask them to test me for it!
I was put on Yaz and that about killed me I had severe Chest pains I took it for 6 days I had enough so they put me back or Tri-sprintec which I took for awhile and stopped taking that back in Jan09!
Aww Im sorry to hear your having trouble to my husband will be 37 in Dec and he said he didn't want to have anymore children after 36 so its not giving me much time which is a bummer!
Do you have PCOS? I have a few friends that have that. One got pregnant no problems and never had to take Clomid. She was on birth control, actually, but I guess it wasn't effective b/c of some other medications she was taking. Another friend of mine had to take Clomid to get pregnant and now she's having twins. So, I think no matter what it's up to God. Also, if you have PCOS, have you had it your whole life or is this a recent thing? I hope everything turns out really well for you and you get your baby(s).
My sister in law had trouble conceiving so she saw a fertility doctor. After months of tests to see how her body performed before, during and after her cycles they determined she wasn't developing cysts on her ovaries. So, he put her on Yaz birth control to take for 1 month. After that, she tried again to get pregnant and she got pregnant right away. Don't give up yet. I know it's frustrating. I struggled to conceive and to maintain pregnancies for years. Good luck!
I have to find a new obgyn because when I seen him back in June 22nd he told me that they arn't renewing his contract so I have to find me a new obgyn he has been my obgyn since 2004 he delivered my second son he was a really great doctor but I just can't believe they arn't going to renew his contract ! The bad thing right now im out of state with my husband due to buisness trip that is why I thought I would come on here and ask if anyone else delt with anything like this before!
Also who ever I get as a new obgyn ( previous ob wanted me to have another colposcopy done in 6 months but he told me I had only two choice either 1 go back on birth control or 2 get on clomid to have another baby) I never had to take anything before so I found that kind of odd that I would have to take clomid but in the past i went 2 years without having a period so that is why I got on the pill to start me back up so once I started and was regular again I figured I wouldn't need anything to get pregnant but my cycle is out of wack again and I don't understand it one bit I have trying to stay calm!
I won't be going back home until Sept 1st !
Have you talked to your doctor? maybe he/she can order an ultrasound to see what's going on in there.
