Tooth Extraction....Your Thoughts?

Hi Ladies,

I’m 17 weeks and 5 days pregnant.  I’m scheduled to have one of my wisdom teeth removed today due to a large hole that has developed and the pain that it’s causing me.  The dentist figures this would be the best time to do it since I’m in my 2nd trimester and before it gets infected.  My doctor says the benefits outweigh the risks.  What do you ladies think?  Any similar experiences?  I know the dentist will use the proper local anesthetic.  I’m more afraid of being so scared of the procedure that I’ll stress the baby.  Hope to hear from you.  Thanks

Yikes. I'm sure they will try to use the safest stuff possible, but you are going to be in pain afterward. Be sure to take your pain meds the first couple of days and then you can switch to regular tylenol. Be sure to ask what the max amount is that you can take safely because the pain meds they give us preggo ladies stink.
