Just wanna give up *vent warning*

After everything that went on with my 13 yr old last night. I feel worthless, like a POS...not worth anything.  The things that BOY said to me I would have taken a full grown man out for!! But because society is so ****** up we aren't even allowed to slap our children for speaking to us this way. When I was a kid my mom woulda knocked the shot out of me and I would have deserved it but bet your *** I would not have ever disrespected her that way again! Kids have NO respect for their parents and the damn public schools encourage it!! Mind you My 13 year old hasn't until just recently started pulling this crap. I demand respect in my house but his stupid dad encourages him to treat me like crap!! I am SO over it!! My hormones are raging and I don't know what to do. I can't stop crying and just feel like there is no hope. He strait up said he wants nothing to do with this baby and to get rid of it or him.......

Im sorry to hear that. I have a 10 yr old boy and his dad pulls the same crap! I never once bad mouthed his dad to him cause I knew one day when he got older he would realize the truth. He already realizes that his dad is a liar and all of the above. When we get into an argument, I go to my room and shut the door so that I dont say the wrong things to him. He then apoligizes to me about being wrong and I do the same. My best advice to you is.. Dont add fuel to the fire. Youre the parent, not him and he needs to realize that.

That is just wrong of his father to encourage that. My son is only 7 and sometimes has a mouth on him and can be very rude and disrespectful towards me and his sister and i tell him every time i will not have a son who treats or talks to woman that way. Im thankful his dad and i have a great relationship now since we arent together and he in forces what i say. Its just wrong and im sorry your going through it. All kids go through phases and do things they shouldnt but us as parents need to be there and encourage the good behavior no matter what,yes it is going to be hard but we especially as women have to be strong and make it happen. Im about to be a single mom to 3 and i know i got my work cut out for me but im not giving up.

I wouldn't worry too much. I doubt he will say anything and even if he does cps can't do anything to you just on his word. He's a teenager they arent stupid

I wish i wuda had u as a mom! I jus turned 20 as ppl may kno how it gets down in a mexican family wuu if i wud talk bak to my mom or dad the least i can expect is an as beatin lol i mean even still if i wud do it rightnow they wud care less if i was older now they will still do my mom jus said she wud jus make sure she left no marks but his starting teenage years all his hormones r kikig in tooo...try to relax and take charge! If it means sending to boog camp do it idk if thats harsh but now i see how it is and well i wud do it to my kids make them learn that mother they r only going to have once! So if u aint into the hitting like us mexicans lol we sound bad u shud maybe do sjmthin like that idk i wud idk if im giving bad advice but thats my opinion?

I kinda just went thru the same thing. I have a 14 yr old step daughter who was very upset when she found out I was pregnant. I tried talking to her but everything I wanted to say came out awkward so I wrote her a letter and it helped a lot. That age is emotional and they don't understand everything even tho they think they do. I think she was worried about getting less attention from her dad. But just relax, he won't stay mad forever.
