girls, i hope i go on my own this weekend too!  i think my girl wants to spend her toddler years in my tummy!!!!  i have come to terms with monday being the day, but i am a little nervous.  i haven't really been nervous about labor until this induction talk has come about.  it just seems to scary and unnatural!!  i think i am a total hippy at heart!

update:  i am now 2cm dialated but they have scheduled an induction (with my least favorite doctor--and he's a man!!) on monday, sept. 15th at 7am.  i am far from excited about this and hope and pray she will come on her own by then!!!

Wow, I just read this post and when i saw the dates I was almost sure by the end I'd get to see a weight, lol.  Have you tried fast music to get her moving... it might agitate your uterus into contracting... or just leave you bruised from kicking.  Who knows?  A week late and I think I'd try anything.

I give ya credit.. I am lazy and would probably lay around and just wait for them to induce me.. I am so pathetic, and NO.. I have NOT taken ANY photos.. I am totally fine w/ having no photographic evidence of my bigger a$$..

Krissyy, I really can not believe you are still hanging around, your little girl most REALLY like it in there! I just wanted to say Good Luck as I dont get on much Fri-Sun! Cant wait to hear your update!!

well you have surely listened to me 24/7 so i will be cheering you on as well!  

thank you so much!  i feel like my butt has turned to a funny shape with pregnancy...but only the last few weeks...  i am sure you look beautiful!  to me, women are most gorgeous when they are pregnant...even me with my misshapen buttocks!!!  hehe.  and i can't wait till the day you decide to post pictures of your pretty pregnant self!!  even if you don't post them on here, are you taking them so you can watch how you have changed over the weeks?

i took my shower quickly after my denise austin workout before my contractions would get a jump start.  now i am going to cool down by taking a slow walk around the mall (i power-walked earlier and people look at me like i am so pitiful!!).  as long as i stay on my feet, i think i can keep these contractions going and hopefully they will pick up...even at a slow paced walk!

I was hoping for the 08 tax deduction, personally! Hahahaha! That's awful and I am totally kidding.. I will feel how I feel (If I am overdue), I likely will be on here bitc*ing 24-7 to anyone that will listen! I am ONLY 21.5 weeks and I already feel uncomfortable! I can't imagine how you feel!! Although I have to say you are one of those women w. that "perfect" pregnant body.. Like you swallowed a basketball and that's it! You can tell you are athletic and thin otherwise.. I feel like if I didnt already have body image and weight issues, I wouldnt be so uncomfortable.. Anyway, "NUFF" about me!

i don't know if they will induce me tomorrow or not...  i just have my regular appointment.  do you think they will send me to the hospital?  i don't know how it works.  and yes, my girl is stubborn just like her mother!!  but at least i came out 3 days before my mom was due!!  i just did my workout so maybe i will shower...

haha, i'm glad that your doctor agrees!!  i know you don't want to go far like me, but if you have him on january 28th, that is my birthday =)  don't you hate that??  i know so many people born in sept. and they all wanted me to have baby on their birthday...and they all called to check up to see if they got their birthday wish!!  wow, he gave you a very long gap...i surely hope he was kidding!!  but realistically, he is secretly serious...he just wants to act like he's kidding so you don't come pounding down his door on january 28th!  the 28th is 16 days after your due date so if you are anything like me, that is a great possibility!!  start preparing mentally now, girl!  so you won't end up a crying mess like i am!

Yeah.. Go take a shower!! =)  You will just feel better.. So, if nothing by the am, you will be induced tomorrow and meet your little princess then! Sounds like a win/win to me.. I know you wanted "natural," but your little girl is STUBBORN!!  =)

At my appt. yesterday, I told my Dr that EDD's were a joke and if I ended up being way over mine, I would find his house!! =)   Haha!

He said he thinks EDD's are a joke too.. He said they should give us Estimated Due MONTHS!! Like I am "due" Jan. 12, no wait they changed it to the 18th.. (they have changed it several times, now!!) ANYWAY.. He said I will have my son sometime between Dec 22 and January 28th... Nice...  He was kidding, but basically saying he thinks due dates make women crazy..

wishing i was!!  day 6 overdue...  yesterday evening i was having burning in my low back, belly and legs.  i got excited but after my shower, everything slowed.  i think i screwed myself!!  i wish i hadn't taken my shower because i think that must have relaxed things too much!!  i am afraid to shower today because i'm worried that will happen again.  i should shower now while the contractions are far apart just in case they decide to get closer together.  i'm going to do my denise austin workout now to see if anything happens...  

tomorrow morning is my obgyn appt :-(

Krissy.. like 110279 said.. I dont think that will impact your maternity leave.. When I talked to the employee health lady here at the hospital she told me that they are required to give me 3 weeks of healing time and 3 weeks of bonding time after the baby is born.. anything more would be different.. I think you will still get at least your 6 weeks no matter what though.

I don't thin kI like your dr...............lol.  They should atleast check you.  If I waited for intense pain, my kids would have been born in the car.  I am not kidding, that is why my dr yelled at me with my 2nd.  I took my time getting there becasue i wasn't convinced it was labor, I had him within the hour.  None of our family had time to get there before he was born.  So maybe you'll be lucky like that too...................Keeping my fingers crossed.

I think maybe if they are 7 minutes apart, I would head to L&D.. Just to be checked.. Everyone is different and you may have a kilelr tolerance for pain? Just a thought..

every labor is different just because the contractions arent painful doesnt mean that they are not making anything happen if i was you i would get checked out againg to make sure.

When I had my first I was overdue and every day that I was overdue extended my maternity leave.  It shouldn't shrink because you're over due.... your maternity leave is basically medical leave so you can recover from the birth.  You shouldn't have to go back any earlier!!

dani-i am going back to work but unfortunately, i supposed to go back nov.2!  my maternity leave is shrinking by the day!!!

laura-yea, some of their things are expensive.  the set i got was mid-priced but i did get it on sale which was exciting.  i have heard that ikea has affordable, decent stuff for baby furniture.  my contractions aren't intense, but more uncomfortable than they have been over the last few days.  they are still every 7 minutes or so.  i really don't know what to do about it because my doctor doesn't want me to call till i am in so much pain that i can't walk or talk.  what if i have a weird labor where the pain doesn't come till the very end????...which may not necessarily be a bad thing!  i am sure that i will be walking thru the doors with my baby girls head hanging out!!!
