thank you all very much you have all been very helpfull my dr didnt explain anything but i know when i saw the ultrasound under my baby i noticed a large black spot about the size of my uterus and then a hr later was told what it was but he didnt tell me if it was big or not just told me half the time the baby dosnt make it and walked out
I also had SCH at 7 weeks 3 days, was admitted to the hospital, given meds to stop the bleeding, which did stop in 3 days approx. But thereafter I was put on complete bedrest till 12 weeks and beyond. SCH usually goes on to resolve itself with due care and monitoring.
I also had a subchorionic hematoma that caused me some bleeding at 6 weeks 3 days and again at 10 weeks but it resolved itself. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.
Hello I am the lady that just lost her daughter at 18 weeks. I had subchronic bleed at 10 weeks my doctor decided it didn't need to be monitored and at 18 weeks my uterus seperated from my wall and my daughter was born and lived for 1hour and 36 mins. Please make sure your doctor is watching you and preforming u/s to make sure it is healing. I lost my daughter because my doctor told me it was common and not to worry. So I listened and learned the hard way that doctors don't know everything. Please take it very easy if you can please go on bed rest and make sure your doctor is watching you VERY carefully.... Take care and if you have any question I will answer the best I can....
anything subchorionic is caused by the placenta growing and developing. Blood gets behind the placenta because it's attaching vessels to the wall and sometimes it bleeds when it grows.
I had a subchorionic bleed when I was 5 weeks up until 10 weeks. My son is now 9 weeks old and is healthy.
They have to be watched carefully as if they get really big, can cause placenta seperation and ultimately fetal death. Mine was small and cleared up on it's own. I think it's rare if they cause separation.

I had a subchorionic hematoma with my last pregnancy. Its basically a cut in the uterine wall. It caused me to bleed quite heavily between weeks 5-10 of my pregnancy and then resolved on its own by 20 weeks. They are actually kinda common during pregnancy and I was told by my doctor that they had never not seen one resolve on its own before 20 weeks. However a lady on here just recently lost her baby at about 18 weeks because the blood caused the sac to seperate from the uterine wall. Im not sure how common that is but to be on the safe side I would request that your doctor moniter you extra carefully until it goes away.
subchorionic hymatoma** sorry typo
