20 weeks tomorrow.

This app is saying I should be able to tell if my little one is awake or asleep and should be feeling moving quite often. I have felt it here and there but not a lot. I did yesterday however feel my baby kick me pretty hard (not super but harder than quickening) about 5 or 6 time within a 5 minute period. Why can't I feel it all the time? Or be able to tell when my little one is awake vs sleeping? I have been busy this last week with work as I am in healthcare. I am a first time mommy. Thanks for any feedback ladies!

Generally when they are not moving they are sleeping. You might be feeling flutters and other small movements if you lay still and pay close attention.

Thanks ladies! I appreciate the feedback! I just get so anxious wanting to feel it all the time. As well as jealous of those who have been feeling baby move since 15-16 weeks!

So do they sleep a lot in there? May be a dumb question. It has been difficult. I write a lot of it off as gas. And so it is normal than to not be able to tell sleeping vs awake?

I just guess my baby is sleeping when he doesn't move? I'm not sure. And everyone is different!!! Some don't feel baby till after 20 weeks and at first you don't feel them as much until you get farther along. Hope this helps a little :)

Baby might still have plenty of room, or your placenta might be cushioning the kicks so you don't feel it as much, you may also not distinhuish the little movements from gas yet. Every woman and every pregnancy is different. Also, I've been told a few times when you move the motion puts baby to sleep so they tend to be asleep when you're awake and awake when you're resting.
