Nothing on the ultrasound

Hello- I tested positive on a pregnancy test at home and at the OBGYN.  However the doctor could not see anything on the ultrasound.   She thinks it is too early but I am worried.   How many weeks along do you have to be to see the sac?  She took blood work yesterday and I am going back tomorrow.   I am very worried can you please help?

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would do a quantitative beta hcg.  If the level is over 2000 I would expect to see something on transvaginal ultrasound.
If the level is less, I wouldn't expect to see much of anything.  Usually this level corresponds to about 5-6 weeks or even a bit earlier.
The follow up blood test will be very helpful!

I am about 6 weeks pregnant and got nothing on ultrasound.. worried.. just not taking a panic and wait for 2 more weeks and then will have the transvaginal U/s..

I've taken 3 home tests and all have been positive, but I went to the doc...and it was neg..... they said that I should be 4w1d, why the neg????

I'm 4 weeks pregnant and the same thing happen me as well.. If I'm correct it's 5 or 6 week when you see your baby.. Good luck:)

My tests came up positive the pee had barely moved up the stick so going by dr and last period I was 7 weeks anyways 4 weeks later go for ultrasound thinking im almost 13 weeks (hooray 1st trimester almost over) nope according to ultrasound I was only 9 weeks so 3 weeks behind so made it 2 -3 wks when test was positive...

I am about 4w3d by my last period and im having cramping as well. Its really feels lik im on my period minus the bleeding. I also had a negative ultrasound but im not wprried because my pregnant tests keep gettinh darker and darker. I jus take that as a sign hcg levels are still increasing.

I had a miscarriage in july 2013 and had a d&c 30 july.. I got 3 full AF and tested yesterday that I am preg.. very faint positive.. tomorrow going to doctor lets see what comes up..What movements I should avoid to have a successful pregnancy.. I am worried.. the previous one was due to baby stop growing at 6w2days..guide me if anyone have any experience.. This is my first pregnancy

im soo confused , I haven't had my period since October 20th I took 3 test in the end of November they all came back positive my stomach isn't getting big I went to the doctor and got blood work im still waiting to find out im nervous because I can't wait to find out if im pregnant

I had an ultrasound at 8weeks 5 days and they couldn't see anything. They had to do a transvaginal ultrasound where we were able to see and hear the heartbeat. I didn't have any bleeding after that, but they told me it was normal to have bleeding and not to be alarmed if I did. I had a lot of cramping too, which they said was normal as well. Good luck!

The same thing happened to me. I went in for stomach pains and they said i was pregnant. They did a transvaginal ultrasound and could not find anything. Unfortunately they told me I had a miscarriage. But to go back the next day to get my beta level checked and to go back in a week for another ultrasound. When they did the ultrasound there was a yolk sack. Now im 31w 3d and my pregnancy is 100% perfect! So dont worry too much :)

I was 4 weeks when I had my first ultrasound my baby looked like a little peanut I'm 33 weeks and 6 days now...hope they find the baby next time you get an ultrasound

I had no cramps at all...but did have bloating a lot. I had another ultrasound done and saw the heartbeat... Its also my first..but really,don't stress... It might be just too early to see anything,by 6weeks a sac and yolk sac should be seen

hi. its okay to be a little bit scared in yur predicament. the same thing happend with me with my first daughter. yu should ask them to test yu for a ectopic pregnancy. thts wat they did for me. but about a week or so later evrything waz normal and turned out fine. inow have a 2yr old daughter and trying to conceive my second. : ) good luck. hope things turn out for the best for yu.

I had a normal belly scan at 8 weeks there was a tiny baby if it wasn't pointed out to me i wouldn't have seen it i also heard the heart beat.

I am about 9 weeks prego.. and the doc told me I am going to be having a miscarrage because there was no heart beat.. I didn't start spotting until they performed a vaginal u/s.. everything seems to be on time except for my babies heart beat.. can I get some advice on what I should do because I'm really scared and stressed

this is my first time pregnant and also the first time i actually knew when i was ovulating and tried.  Therefore, part of me was even surprised at two positive tests.  do you know how early pregnancy tests read a positive result?  is it possible that i could only be 2-3 weeks?

thank you so much.  did you have cramping similar to your period in the early early stages?  it is not painful but the doctor said cramping is normal.
