OT: Haunted House.....
So Hubby and I have been expericancing weird stuff going on in our new house, granted it is a mobile home and a newer model, we have witnessed something or someone flushing our toilet many times a night. Lights that will turn on and off, radio stations being changed, and the creepiest of all, this morning during breakfast before my appointment, I was making scrambled eggs, they were cooking......but the stovetop was off lol. I know it was off because I put my hand on the burner and it was cool to the touch.
So while at my appointment hubby went to the library and discovered that our house and property line runs next to an old indian barial ground lol.
Im a tad freaked out, Hubby of course thinks its freakin awesome lol, but what do you all think? Figment of imagination, Me going nuts due to my pregnancy lol. IS it even possible for a house to be haunted, I mean I have heard stories and seen ghost hunter shows but NEVER in my life thought it was real.

I personally believe in the paranormal. The house that I lived in for 23 years had a child spirit in the basement. I never went down there much. You could see him running around and playing. My dog would run around like something was chasing him and bark at nothing also. Sometimes things would be moved in the house that no one touched. Right before moving out of the house. I remember going to take a shower and the knob turning when I reached for it but hadn't touched it yet!!!

My aunt had a spirit that lived in her house also growing up. The only thing he ever did was change the radio station. She actually named him!
I worked at Blockbuster and the old business owner died in the building one night after closing when the building use to be a restaurant. When we would close at night we had to straighten all movie boxes and make everything "tidy" When we would come back in the morning there were boxes on the floor. The bathroom was always VERY cold freezing cold. You couldn't be in there very long. We think he hung out in there and thats why it was always so cold in there.

Did anyone see the Dr. Phil show yesterday? It was the co-producer of Ghost Whisperer who is also a medium. He said that spirits do not haunt graveyards because they need energy and they get the energy from people. People don't hang out in graveyards. Only dead people are there. The most energy they can get is from a person's fear, so they tend to hang out in dentists offices, hospitals, jails and planes.
The most common "symptoms" of a haunting are sudden headaches, depression, fatigue, chills, shivers, etc.

My 4 y/o son 'talks' to his Grandma(my mom)...He's never met her! She died when I was 4. One day while changing his diaper he just randomly says. "She says hi Momma & she says she loves you and she thinks I'm funny". I was like "Oookkkayyy, who?" Now the freaky part, depsite the fact that we never mentioned to him about his Grandma ( he was 2 at this point) had no idea that her nickname as a kid was Beaver (from the show leave it to beaver). His reply was "Grandma, you know...Beaver!" I got soo freaked out I left the room to cry. Still to this day he will talk to deceased family members. My Mom and my Pop-Pop in particular. People he's never even met, and I've never spoken to him about. He has ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome traits, so he is always on the go and very very hyper, but he can sit on the floor and look at 'nothing' and talk to it for a long time. Oonce he was telling me about the man in the ceiling corner! I do believe his pure innocent, and un-tainted mind can communicate with them b/c there is simply NO WAY he'd know the things he tells me!
well i believe that there are good and bad spirits, not necessarily ghosts with white sheets hanging off them. But I will tell you that about 2 years ago in the same house we live in now I was in the kitchen cooking and Jeremiah was in his highchair (he was only 2) While I was cooking I literally heard a man whisper my name. I kinda blew it off because I have been known to hear things before but then my 2 year old said ..." I heard daddy whisper Rachel" At that point I assumed he had gotten off work early, but when I went to look his truck was gone. When I called him he was 45 minutes from home. But we havent had any other problems since.
This won't make you feel better, probably.. But I think that kind of thing is amazing, I used to be so interested in it when I was younger I wished I could communicate with "ghosts" as a child.. Haha.. Who knows.. It's all about how much you're comfortable with when it comes to the idea, and if you even have an alternate choice as to where to live if you AREN'T comfortable with it! Sorry you gotta deal with this, must be pretty freaky.
Thats the freaky thing, I have 2 boys ages 2 and 4 and they have baby monitors in their rooms since the rooms are at the other end of the house, I have heard my oldest son talking at 3am! about his tigger teddy lol from whinnie the pooh, and you could hear a womans voice over the monitor....Now i know that monitors can pick up signals from phones and such, but it creeps me out now after this morning.
Im having 3 electricians out, one is my BIL and he will be out tomorrow afternoon, but I have hired 2 more for more opinions lol. I know having family do the job can end up giving me diff results do to the emotional attachment or just plainly wanting to scare the beejeevies out of me lol.
We will see, we had another 2 flushes so far tonight, and my TV turned off by itself aswell. Im documenting all activity to see if there is a pattern of some sort.

Well you know they do say that babies can see ghosts so just wait till the baby comes and see if he/she ever starts freaking out LOL
Ahh... the paranormal!!! I believe in supernatural occurences, but I don't believe it's dead Native Americans. Yeah, check out the mechanics of the house first. If it's still going on... well... just deal with that if it comes to it!!! And don't be scared. If you haven't gotten hurt yet, you probably won't get hurt at all.
When I first moved to Ohio we stayed in my grandma's trailer and it was weird enough since [this huge plot of land my family owns, this trailer was part of] two of my family members had died in, weird things always happened there and someone had claimed the same, that it was on an indian burial ground.. Who knows.. But supposedly my older sister had saw a man outside one day walking by and described him to my mom and grandma and apparently she described almost exactly what my great uncle [one of the ones who died there, like a decade earlier] had looked like... When I saw a picture of him and remembered what she said this "man" looked like, it was like a perfect description.. who knows what to believe when it comes to that stuff, but I've seen some odd things, myself..
I don't really know that I believe in it either, but something has to explain why those weird things happen. We are waiting on the results from The North Texas Ghost Trackers that were at my friends house Saturday May 10th b/c when we are watching t.v a women will show up in the kitchen and look over at us then disappear, and my friend see' black mass' that peek around the corner at her and stare at her. The North Texas Ghost Trackers said that they have 22 hours of footage to go through and 5 recorders. They have only got through 1/2 of one. They did send an evp and it says (hi son) an older man. We seem to think it says something different. Not sure. We were trying to put it on myspace but can't seem to do it. :( We should here more soon.
i am also a believer in paranormal activity.... and the whole stove thing scares the **** outta me!! lol .... i am such a scaredy pants... i woulda been outta there so fast!! definately have it checked out!!

I am a believer in the paranormal based on personal experience, but it sounds like you can rule your "haunting" out by having the electric and plumbing checked. It is very possible that the plumbing is acting up. Sometimes ours gurgles and flushes. Our sink comes on too by itself, but it's the water pressure. We need new fixtures. The stove cooking while it's off is a little odd.
Besides, I don't think the indians would know how to use our modern technology.....lol

We only seen it one time and that was in a pic that my mom took of my cousin my baby brother and me about 15 years ago for our grandparents for Christmas. In that pic was a bright light and when you zoomed in out in really close with our computer you could see a face of an older man, they thought it looked like one of my grandparents. We lost the pic when my moms cpu was having some problems. But you see all of that stuff on tv that makes it sound possible. Let us know what the electrician thinks.

lmao you gals, I think before making myself go insane with fear I will have an electrcian come check my house. Im not a believer of the paranormal, but this might just change my mind if it isnt an electrical issue hehe.
oh there's a "historical marker" in front of the house on top of the cemetery....but we looked online when we got older, and couldnt find anything about the girls and the other house....then again, our town keeps alot of things on the down low....except for when the cops shoot someone.....
on an even brighter side, if the electricity goes out, you can still cook lol!!!
ya my hometown has a huge historic home built on an indian burial ground.....that house has been for sale since i was in middle school!!!! that's like 13 years lol!!!!!
there's a caretaker there, but TMK, it has not been sold.....and the claims are that when lights have gone out ACROSS TOWN from storms, that is the ONLY house with power! and the elec company did this public inspection thing, and there is NO back up power!!! oh, and the creek behind it....sometimes gets "rapids" when there are no other water spots around(no rain, no run off etc), and allegedly part of the concrete in the basement, shows headstones(idk bout that, i've NEVER been in there!!!)....but we also have another house that set empty from before i moved there in 1990, till 1998, and we were always told back in the late 80's, a man who lived there*no one get upset*, but that the man who lived there, while his parents were gone, grabbed a couple of girls and killed them.....when you walked by, you could see this huge hole, from the near walk tall space under the house, and we went under once, and SWORE we heard little kids screaming(the 4 kids i was with, we were the ONLY 5 in the whole neighborhood!).....then, it got sold when we were in high school, the couple spent thousands in rehab(we have a small town lol), and moved out after only 6 months of living there....so the house, again has been empty since 1999...those 2 houses will NEVER sell lol
