I never had acne until I got pregnant! In my first trimester I had it everywhere, on my shoulders, my chest, my upper back, face, everywhere! It was so disgusting. That only lasted a few weeks. Then in my second trimester I only had it on my face, bad, but not as bad as everywhere on my body. Now in the third trimester with 3 weeks left I haven't had any.

Starting the second trimester I would do a mask on my face twice a week, a good scrub every day in the shower, and a moisturizer.

Lol. My face was smooth as a baby bottom but the I got pregnant (still am, 20wks) and got introduce to acne for the 1st time in my life and I'm 28. Its all over my neck, all over my forehead and I also go introduce to oily skin. I'm now using clearasil facial wash with a pinch of tea tree oil for my face. I see it's getting better but as they fad away they're living dark spots even tho I don't mess with anything on my face. I'm hoping to god they eventually fad away.

You are not alone. I can't even use my Proactive any more.I just decided to wait until it's over to treat the acne.

Mine was really bad during weeks 6&7, cleared for a week or two then flared up again (worse than it's ever been in my ENTIRE life) during weeks 10 & 11.  I used that green st Helens face mask for like 3 days, and my face responded really well. I'm 14 weeks now! :)

It does improve in time but then again everyone. Is different. I'm 24 weeks and my skin is not as bad as it was in the beginning I avoid makeup as much as I can and I do a mask every. 3 days then cleanse my face seems to help. Good luck hope it clears up for you soon.

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that everybody is different when it comes to acne and pregnancy.  For many women, their skin is clearer than ever when they are pregnant. For others acne appears for the first time.
I don't recommend using Retin A type products while pregnant, but products that contain Clindamycin or Benzoyl Peroxide ARE OK>
Good luck!
