Pregnancy and abortion
Hello doctor this might sound like stupid questions but could you please help. On Friday I had a surgical abortion. I was about 6-7 weeks. 3 days prior to the abortion my boyfriend and I had unprotected intercourse. Obviously I can't get pregnant if I'm pregnant already but my questions are the following.
1-could the sperm from the sexual encounter 3 days before the abortion live and get me pregnant again after the procedure was done?
2-is it even possible to ovulate within the first 2-3 days after an abortion or ending of a pregnancy? Doesn't it take 10-14 days?
3-how long does sperm live for in the body?
4-is it true your body will still think its pregnant for first few days after procedure and not produce egg?
5-any other thoughts on this would help..or do you think I'm just paranoid?

I think when the term abortion is thrown into the mix everyone thinks they can say what they want. Have the decency to keep your mouth shut, she didn't ask people what they thought about it.

yea i agree with you that she shouldnt have had unprotected sex but noone nose her circumstances. me to i would NEVER EVER in this world have an abortion, but people dont know other peoples circumstances
I dont think that was harsh at all everyone learns in school that unprotected sex leads to pregnancy and it is true if you dont want to have a baby then you shouldnt be having unprotected sex. I honestly couldnt have said it any better my self. I was raped at 12 & had my son when I was 13 and believe I had a messed up life. but killing a child is completely unacceptable. and me being that young & under the circumstances I still wouldnt consider having an abortion. after my son I had my problems grant it but I finished school and I work hard to support my child. there is NO excuse for having an abortion & its quite obvious she made an uneducated decision cause i believe in anyone who was in their right mind who knew what an abortion does would never result in having one. its absolutely sickening.
think that was abit harsh, but i understand what your saying i was 17 when i had my son, did it alone worked to give him the best possible start, at the end of the day if you dont want kids protect yourself
One more thing, if you keep having abortions it destroys your uterus, and lessens your chances of being able to have a baby when you want one.

I agree with both of you! If you don't want a child don't have unprotected sex, and if for some reason you just "can't" have protected sex ABSTAIN!!! Obviously you aren't mature enough for a child. So instead of... I don't know HAVING it and putting it up for adoption you decided to kill it? There are people that find out everyday that they will never be able to have children, and you have an "accident," Which you were stupid enough to make, and then terminate it. You are a terrible person and need to grow up and start making wise decisions, I don't want to hear anything about how hard your life is, or the reason you didn't want it. I was 17 when I got pregnant with my son, and I did it ALONE, working 2 jobs and going to school for the first 2.5 years. I supported my child and myself, we had our own apartment, car, food, and anything else he needed. I worked 36 hours STRAIGHT the weekend of my birthday so I could afford his birthday party the next weekend. There is NO reason you can give me that will make me see you as a better person, you're just an immature, irresponsible, murderer.

I had a cytotec induced abortion and my period returned after 5 weeks, however, my period normally lasts for 5 days and this has stretched into the 7th day and I am experiencing clotting. Can anyone help out please?
Why do you keep having unprotected sex? Do you enjoy having abortions? Grow up and get on some protection. Or keep your legs closed.
Wy would u have unprotected sex if ur not willing to take responsibility for ur actions if u end up pregnant? U need to think twice before u act.. immature much!!
Yes you are pregnant:-) you need to call your family physician and ask where to go in your region for a maternity clinic, call there and they will give you an appointment base on your pariod date, udually around week 10 to week 12. Yoy want to start your multi vitamine asap, checj with your pharmacist:-) Best of luck to you:-)

I m 4 days late of my periods now. Did the home preg testing twice. Both had two lines but one fainted[ first response], according to instruction it is positive. How long should I wait to seek med advice? What r my options?

I have a question...i had my period on dec 1 til the 6th, had unprotective sex but he got out right before he was about to *** then I got my period for two days on the 27th and since then I havent got my period could I be pregnant? 2.I usually takes AT LEAST 10-14 days for ovulation after a termination
3.Sperm can live in the body for approx 3 days
4.Yes, this is true. It usually takes awhile for the body to clear the pregnancy hormone. How long it takes typically depends upon how much hormone was present initially. That usualy depends on how far along you were--I your case I would guess a few days.
5.My other thought -- you may have guessed already -- get on a reliable form of contraception unless you are ready for a baby. There are so many options now, there is probably one that will work for you!
