  I just took the one hour test blood glucose test and the result came back 143 ugh... it needed to be 140 or under soooo I have to go back for the 3 hour on Friday....blah.... wish me luck....Has anyone gone back for the second one and been okay?

My one hour was way over range but I ate frosted flakes for breakfast.:) when i came back for my 3 hour i passed well below but didn't eat anything for twelve hours before that test.

Make sure you stay away from any thing sweet at least 3days prior to the 3hr GTT test.
Some times the tests can be false too. My 1hr test came just a few points below where it should be. The doctor did not order a 3hr test but my blood was tested a couple of times over the months just to make sure it's not going over board.

I took the 1 hour test and it came back +. My doctor made me take the 3 hour test to double check, because sometimes the 1 hour test can have a false +. It was a false + for me.

Can happen. Maybe you eat something before taking the test? Try not to eat anything for 12 hours in advance when you go for the next one

My last THREE pregnancies I have failed the one hour glucose and with all three I have passed the 3 hour.

i have a friend that didn't pass the one hour test but she went to the 3 hour test and everything was fine!

My glucose test was normal.  BUT my friend's wasn't so she had to do the 3 hour test also.  While she waited for the 3 hour test (about a week or so) she was put a a little diet.  Anyway, when she went back for her 3 hour test everything was normal!  So just because this one was bad, doesn't mean the next one will be bad also.  =)

I did mine today and haven't gotten my results back yet.  I've heard the 140 number as well though.

hmm weird...i got a call back from my OB's office yesterday and she said my result was 150 and that i was fine and didnt need to repeat the test? why would she tell me that if the number needed to be under  140? now im confused as well! lol hopefully some other ladies have some insight on this one!
