Prometrium and elevated bbt

I have been on prometrium since ovulation on day 20.  I was supposed to start AF on day 34 and I am usually right on time.  Today is day 40 and no AF yet.  MY bbts are still in the 98's range.  Can the prometrium keep my bbts elevated and delay my AF or could I be pregnant and just not testing positive yet?  I have never had many pregnancy symptoms with my prior pregnancies(which were both lost) so it's so hard to tell? Any advice?

I am not a doctor but from what I know the raise in BBT in a natural cycle is due to progesterone.  Prometrium is progesterone so I would guess it does the same thing.  I am also on prometrium.  My nurse told me to do an HPT test 15 days after ovulation.  If it was positive keep taking prometrium to support the lining.  If it was negative, stop taking it.  She said most women won't start to menstruate until they stop the prometrium (if the HPT test is neg).   If I were you I would contact your doctor to explain things.

I have a history of miscarriage and the OBGYN put my on prometrium post ovulation to prepare my endometrium for possible pregnancy.  I just wanted to know if prometrium could cause prolonged elevated bbts without there being a pregnancy.

Also too, I have been having mild crampiness for about a week and a half now. And a slight tinge of pink when wiping last night, none since then though.
Thanks.
