17wks pregnant with chest pain

I am currently 17wks pregnant & lately ive been having really bad chest pains. They're mostly in the center around the bottom of my sternum. It usually occurs while im @ rest & Ive had an ekg that was normal... Could this be indigestion or heart burn? Also, sometimes I can feel my heart beat really hard for a few minutes & then it goes back to normal... I think I could possibly just be over paranoid because I had a sister pass away unexpectedly from mitral valve prolapse

i agree to go get checked out... if something is causing you discomfort then its best to find out what it is :) i had simular pains right in that area... its was a pretty intense stabbing pain and it normally occured in the evening... it turned out to be an ulcer... but your Dr would know more ;)
Heart palpitations are common during pregnancy... with the additional hormones, increased blood flow and stress that goes along with it... but still you should inform your Dr that youve been experiencing them, as with any other complaints you may have :)
But anyway  Congrats on your pregnancy!!!
