TTC 7 DPO

When can I test? I have been feeling fatigue, bloating, gassy, constipated, and pee smells different. I felt twinges on my right side of the uterus yesterday at 6 DPO I am assuming I felt implantation. How soon can I take a blood test? I am anxious and can't wait a WEEK ( when my period is due) to do a HPT. PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi!
Songinmind has some good pointers!
Here is the science behind the test--
An embryo implants and begins to produce HCG about 10-14 days after conception (which usually occurs in the fallopian tube) It then begins to produce HCG.  Pregnancy tests detect HCG.  There is no way to tell before whether someone is pregnant ( because technically they AREN'T pregnant ) before the HCG is produced.
SO, you can do as many tests as you like, but they aren't likely to be positive until 4-5 days before the period is due.  Many of the home tests are not accurate until the period is missed.
My personal advice is to wait until about 1 week AFTER the period is missed.
Pregnancy is long enough if you do it that way!
Good luck!

You can test as early as you want to, but the probability it's accurate is significantly lower until you come to the day your period is due.  I personally didn't want to deal with the emotional roller coaster that a false negatives is going to cause (and those little pee sticks are expensive!).

With both my positive tests (which both resulted in m/c's by the way), I was able to get a positive HPT on 12 DPO.  (2 days prior to expected AF).

I don't mean this to sound the wrong way- because I truly understand wanting desperately to be pregnant... but you may want to find some good ways to cope with your anxiety and the inevitable waiting time.  Even if you get a BFP (and I hope you do!), it's going to be lots more weeks and months of waiting for the next US, waiting to hear the heartbeat, and waiting for HCG results, etc.  It can really drive you crazy if you let it... and if each month you're tormented by waiting to test, that can't be good for you, hun.

I hate waiting just as much as the next person, but from what I understand the added stress is probably not good for you or your little bean.  I hope you can find some peace and take it easy a bit, eat healthy, take your vitamins like you were pregnant and know that it's in God's hands what happens next.  Good luck
