Unsure about when to test again

Hi my period in August was 4 days late and September was 7 days late. I took a pregnancy test this month  Oct and got a very faint line with the E.P.T test. It looked like someone had put a line and then erased it just very faint. I did the test today because going by my normal 28 day cycle i would be late.  But to be sure I would like to retest I am just not sure when to because my cycle is so screwy. Any thoughts would be really helpful.
                                           Thanks

as per your test....even though the 1/2nd line is faint color as long as you see it  2 lines, you're for sure pregnant...anyhow, just to kill your doubts....take blood test tho' as it's more accurate than urine test.

my bf and I had intercourse on or around sep 10. I had what i think was a light period at the end of the month. I took a hpt right before the light 4 days and it was negative. Since then I have been fatigued with soreness in my breasts and light back pain and sometimes ti gleing in my hands. I took another hpt yesterday and it was negative as well, making it 30 plus days with two negative results. Could i still be pregnant?

Hello,

A pregnancy can be detected as early as 8 days after ovulation.  HPTs differ in sensitivity; however, the two best (First Response Early Result and Clearblue Easy Earliest Results) can detect a pregnancy at the time of the missed menses (generally ~two weeks after conception).  If negative, repeat in one week (and/or pay a visit to your ob/gyn).

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

If you got anyline Id say you could be pregnant and to talk to your doctor. Your HCG could ne very low since your could be newly pregnant. I would wait another week and take another test if the test says the same thing go see a doctor. Im pregnant now 17 weeks,, I went to the doctor July 5th and got tested but it came out negitive.. But my period was still late so i waited one more week and my body was RAGING with HCG and the doctor was Shocked they were that high. good luck and Congrats if it all goes well

I went in to the er ( I had an ectopic pg) and they did the pg test on me and the nurse showed me how the line on it was really faint.  She said that if you are not very far along it may show up light since it tests for HCG and that hormone isn't very high right away.  But she said if it shows up at all you are pg.  Conrats!!!

Hey thank you both for your responses. I did do it with morning urine. I think I was just worried about jumping the gun for a blood test. Didn't want my dr to think I was crazy. LoL
                                        Thanks
