When should I test?

So I ovulated 7 days ago.. Hoping I'm going to get my bfp, but wondering how many dpo should I test? I don't want to test too early and get my hopes crushed but I also am antsy to test! What do you think? Thanks :)

Ive been Checking my cervical mucous, which triggered me to do an opk. It was positive so I am sure I ovulated very close to 7 days ago. Yeah the ovulation calculators are pretty useless to me. Lol. Even though I was charting my periods it predicted I would be ovulating today on my calendar so that wouldn't have done me any good haha

If you have irregular periods though, it's difficult to know when you ovulated exactly. Are you charting/temping and/or checking cervical mucous, or just using an ovulation calculator? If it's the latter, the odds are that it's highly inaccurate as you need regular cycles for those to work.

Two weeks since ovulation is generally a good time to test, or two weeks after you have unprotected sex.

The only trouble with waiting til my period is due, is I have irregular periods and I dont know if it is due 14 dpo like the average or different as this is the first month I've tracked ovulation. Thanks for the good luck wishes :)
