I'm not a dr, and unfortunately I don't think the dr can tell you for sure you are or are not going to m/c. I did want to tell you that I have had 3 m/c and cramping with BRIGHT red blood is a sign of m/c. With my daughter, I had similar bleeding & cramping until 15 weeks. It was VERY scary, but she's fine and 4 yrs old now.
I was always told that if you are "feeling" pregnant, (ie: having symptoms like breast tenderness & nausea) you probably are still pregnant. :-)I hope you get some rest and peace. Stay off you feet and no heavy lifting!
Congrats again!
Just thought i would update everyone had scan done on 4th Feb,showed gestational sac still growing,(had increased in size to nearly 17mm) but still nothing else, they sent me home and said there was still a small possibility it may appear within the next week. I knew it was'nt going to but i understand they have to follow procedure, anyway went back today,10th Feb for re scan and sac is now measuring 18mm and is still empty so given that there is still nothing in it and the growth rate over the last 6 days has only been just over 1mm they have today diagnosed a missed miscarriage. Absolutely devastated but have been preparing for it from the outset really as i sounds silly but i just knew inside something was'nt right. I am booked in for 16th Feb for surgery to remove it. I wanted to update this thread as a lot of things i have come across on the internet give you the original question and you look at it and think oh that sounds like me but then go to see how it turned out and theres no follow up so i hope that this may all be of use to someone in a similar situation, having said that i hope anyone in a similar situation has a much happier outcome than me but i think at times like these hope is good realism is essential. Best of luck to everyone and thanks to all who offered my help and kind words.xxxxxx
Hi!
Either the development will continue, and you will see a fetal pole/heart beat, or it will stop and the sac will begin to crumple and eventually pass as a miscarriage.
Obviously we want to keep our fingers crossed for the former! There is nothing that you can do to influence the outcome other than take good care of yourself and pray!
IF the development stops, it most often is because there is a problem with the embryo.
Hope this helps! Best wishes!

Hi,thank you very much for your response. Its all so frustrating confusing and worrying!!! I have 4 daughters by my ex husband who were all straight forward pregnancies, apart from being sick morning to night the whole nine months with them all!!! So that worries me in itself that this pregnancy seems so different and combining that with the slow rising hcg levels and the spotting, means im a wreck!!! Everyone keeps saying maybe its where it is a different partner is why this pregnancy is different or could be a boy .....and that its very common to bleed in early pregnancy but none of it stops me worrying :0( So sorry for your losses but very pleased you are blessed with a gorgeous girly, although at 4 years old its only just began!!! My eldest is 13.....NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! Lol. Good luck!!! :0) Thank you again for your kind words of advice, best wishes.xxxx
Forgot to say....Gestational sac is growing at approx 1mm a day which apparently fits right???
