Hi can a vaginal scan detect a miscarriage at 5 weeks 2 hours before it happens, would there not be any signs showing on scan?

I am so sorry for your loss (((hug))) Please know that most miscarriages cannot be prevented and nothing you did was likely to have caused it. Also know that having one miscarriage doesn't increase your risk of having a miscarriage. Most first trimester miscarriages are thought to be due to chromosomal abnormalities in the baby and those would not show on a scan.

Hi!
It is possible that things could go either way with a 5 week scan.  There might be some evidence suggesting miscarriage, such as an irregular or empty sac.  The pregnancy might also appear entirely normal at 5 weeks and end in miscarriage any wa

Hi Vonnie,

sorry for your loss, I know how you feel as i had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks and 5 days , This will be avery sad and confusing time for you as you still feel pregnant ,for me the feeling and looking pregnant lasted a couple of weeks , it could last up until you get your first period after the miscarraige normally between 4 to 6 weeks as you miscarried yourself that could be sooner, i had to have an ERPC. . Hang on in there it does get better with time allow yourself  to grieve for your loss , With time you will start to feel better

Hi

Sorry to bother you again, When i miscarried I was 6 weeks and 5 days (or 4 weeks and 5 days depending on how you look at as it was an IVF pregnancy & egg collection was the 14th of April 6 weeks ago tomorrow). the started on the 17th of May & was confirmed on the 20th with a vaginal scan my womb was empty. My question is when am I going to stop feeling pregnant the breast tenderness and itchy nipples is not getting any better my lower abdomen is getting harder and feels more bloated every day & I still need to pee constantly. When will this all go away as I'm struggling to come to terms with my lose as I still feel pregnant.
