So a friend of mine and her boyfriend just broke up because they couldn't get along the thing is she is like 4 months along I believe she texted me just now asking if she can get child support now even though baby ain't here I told her I'd think so because baby will need stuff for when he/she gets here but I wanted to see maybe someone been in this position

She cant get child support right now but after the baby is born and a dna test is done he will have to back pay any costs as well as pay from there on out. Im 4 months and in the exact situation with my childs father

If your under 23 or 24 years old and living with your parents you could get help ($235) and after the baby is born they gonna help you more ($535) and make you put child support on your baby daddy which ya both gonna go to court and have a DNA test and all that and but make sure to know his address so he could get a letter .

They don't do child support till after the baby is born and had a DNA test done the laws stink sometimes

I'm 95% sure she can't until after the baby is born. She'll have to go to court and they'll do a DNA test to prove the child is his and then go from there

Yer they need proof if its the father and if he says no they have to do a dna test to get child support sorted I know it ***** and stupid but they dont want them to pay unless they know its the father and the baby is alive

Technically you don't need most items until after the baby is born, so I don't think you get it while pregnant. I have no idea though, I would probably talk to a lawyer. Many have free consultations. Also, look up regulations for what state you are in.

Well thats weird lol I would think the baby daddy would have to help prepare but guess it makes sense to since its not officially official lol like on paper

I think u only get it after its born I have a two year old and he pays for him but im also pregnant and he doesnt pay until after they are born
