Pregnant or Not?!?!? Any Advice Helpful!

Hi everyone! This is my first post so I am very new to this but am desperate for opinions! I am four days late for my period, which is usually very regular. I took an at home pregnancy test on day 1 of missed period and received a negative result, so I thought I would be getting it soon. Three days later and still nothing. I have been feeling sick within the past few days as well, which was something that started right away in my last pregnancy.  This will be our first child IF we are pregnant, we are hoping for a yes the last time I was pregnant it ended with a very sad miscarriage.  Now, almost 10 months later we might have a chance for it be right this time!! I am trying to hold out til this weekend to test again or to call my doctor to give my period time to start on its own and answer my question, but so far nothing and no symptoms for it either.  Does anyone have any recommendations of what kind of tests to use when/if I do need to take another one? HELP! Am I pregnant or not, or what do you think?
THANKS! :)

Thanks for the response! :) I havent taken another test since the one I took the day I was supposed to get my period; I am going to try to wait until this weekend at least and see if I get my period before then before going and buying another test. It is hard to wait though! It's like a melo-drama every time I got to the bathroom! lol Just nice to talk to another person about it! :) :) :)
THANKS!

Well, you could get a false negative if you tested the day your period was due, but if you got one of the EPT type tests, you should get an accurate result at this point.  I think that the percentage is that something like 96% of women will get a positive by day 3 after period is due unless they aren't pregnant.  If it is still negative and you still don't get your period, then chances are that you didn't ovulate or you ovulated really late this cycle and so, you won't have a period as scheduled.  Doesn't mean anything is wrong with you, it just happens sometimes.  A couple of months ago I ovulated really early and got my period 5 days early.  Good luck and I hope you get your positive!!
