first time pregnancy question

This is my first pregnancy and I am about 4 and a half weeks. I have been having some pressure and mild cramping sometimes just on my right side. Nothing severe or prolonged and no bleeding. I have been reading this is normal. Maybe I am just being hyper sensitive to everything? Do I just need to stop stressing?

I had menstrual like cramps weeks 4-6. My doctor told me its just my uterus stretching. Getting ready for baby to grow. Perfectly normal! Then I was having a different type of weird pain. Like a rubber band snapping, quick kind of sharp pain occasionally. He told me that was round ligament pain. It's your ligaments stretching. Also perfectly normal!

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that YES you need to stop stressing!  You will begin to have lots and lots of weird pressures and pains and strange feelings.  Most of these are going to be very normal and nothing to worry about UNLESS the pain is severe, persistent or worsening, or unless there is bleeding.  If any of the above is true, you should notify your Ob provider right away.
Good luck!

I recently had the same worries and went to the doctor. . Nothing to worry about unless it is prolonged and getting worse.  I have now had my 12week scan and baby is absolutely fine do dont worry x

Definitely normal, and it's totally normal to be paranoid about every pain now to! I had cramping up until about 11 weeks and then again the last few weeks of my pregnancy.

Yes this is normal.. This is my second pregnancy and I've had it with both.. It's most likely round ligament pain..
