getting membranes stripped

Just wondering if anyone has had success with.having this done? Im 39.5 weeks and.found out I.am 2.5-3 cm dilated, cervix is soft but.high and I had mine stripped today! Im.hoping for labor soon!!!

I'm having mine done today! Was due last saturday so really hoping it works as well for me this time as my daughter arrived within 24hrs of it being done. Good luck to everyone!

I had mine stripped with last 2  pregnancies and went into labor withina day both times, It didn't hurt at all , later during day I felt like i was goin to start period,mucus blood then with first kid water broke with second I started having contractions I would recommend cause it starts the process .......good luck

I had mine done with my son. Within 5 hrs I dilated from 2 to 5 cm and my water broke.  Good luck

Savannah yes it is a bloody show caused from having membranes stripped and if I can recommend go have sex seriously it should make contractions start

Awesome!! I just went to the bathroom and noticed bloody mucus on the toilet paper...mine were stripped like 6 hours ago...do you think it was caused from having the membranes stripped, or could it have been bloody show???

Had mine stripped and went into labor the next day.

They swept mine and the next day my water broke.

I'm so nervous for tomorrow that she'll want to strip mine! But I've heard that has gud results I'm sure any time soon for you!

Honestly, I found it very painful lol but over quick!!! I think it was more painful because my cervix is.still high so my.doc had to really reach for it. I.had.immediate cramping afterward, but.that only lasted for like 15 mins.

I'm due July 13th too, but I was high last wk and only at a 1. Never had mine stripped but does it hurt? I gotta know!!!
