also when i had the first implant in my periods was on 4 weeks then off 5 weeks i was like that for 3 years then when i had my replacement put in after 3 year for the first 6 month my periods was on 2 week off 4 then after 6 month i stopped having periods i didnt have a period right up to having it removed last feb... theres 3 ways an implant can affect you...
1- you may not have a period at all (this can cause weight gain)
2- you could have a constant period for he whole length (coming off fpr a couple of days now and again, iff thats the case most woman have it removed as it can make them ill loosin a lot of blood)
3- you can have extended regular periods (being on a period as normal but for a longer time than normal befor coming off for a few weeks)

hope this has helped xx

i was on the implant for 5 years (had 2 bars in total switched after 3 years)  i had it taken out because me and my partner wanted a baby (had it removed on the 28th feb 2012)  and i was told by the nurse that it could take between 3-12 months for my body to get back to normal my periods would be up and dpwn regular or irregular i didnt have a period fpr 2 month then jad a really heavy period on the 3rd month n lasted 3 n half weeks :s then theu was on a eegular 23/24 day cycle n was only on fpr a week then on 19th september 2012 i concieved :,) im now 17 weeks pregnant so it only took my body 7 months... but evwry woman is diffrent some woman can get caught pretty much the day after they have it removed some can take a year or longer it all depends on your body and how it works and how your diet and life style is... itcould just be all your blood cells that have built ip wile uv been on implant and your body is just flushing it all out if your really worrid you can go see your doctor about it and they can have a look and go through it all with u xx
