Most women not ALL will end up getting an epidural if they are induced bc the labor pains are intense. But those same women might have gotten an epidural anyways. Moms sometimes have problems during a forced delivery, like with pitocin bc the baby & moms body us just not ready for labor. It will also depend on if the cervix is already thinned & already dialated. I was induced, but I started to dilate at 7 months & they induced me 2 data before my due date. My labor was 43 minutes from beginning to end. So I was extremely lucky. Good luck with ur new baby

I was induced with both of my kids and it was smooth sailing with both.  I just talked to family and watched movies all day.  I went in at 7am with daughter and the night before woth son because they cervadil.  With both, they started my iv and pitosin at 7.  Dr. broke my water around noon.  I waited until i had pains that were worse than what i had been experiencing which came around 4:30 and 5-6cm.  Had to be redosed with my daughter cuz she decided to wait til after midnite to appear.  My son was born at 7:30.  Everything stayed really smooth and calm throughout.  Good luck!

I would say it depends on what method they use. Do you have an option? I had my waters broken and the drip to induce contractions and for me it all went wrong. My baby's head was in the wrong position, the cord was over the top of his head and ripped and I ended up with an emergency spinal anaesthetic and forceps delivery which resulted in a 3rd degree tear (pretty bad). That could all well have happened even if I wasnt induced, but my next labour was spontaneous, lasted 4hrs and I didnt have a mark on me (and it was much less painful) Dont let me scare you, it all goes much better for most folk, but anyone I  know who has experienced both would say natural all the way. If you have no option, please be reassured that my experience is probably not common at all and at the end of the day my baby and me were both fine, which is the main thing. Be aware of all your pain relief options (much as they scare me, I think if I were induced again I would take the epidural) induction can be very painful and if the drip causes too many contractions you dont get a breather in between. Good luck to you, I really hope that you have a wonderful birthing experience, there is nothing like it in the world xx

like every other part of pregnancy it verys different for every woman... honestly it can be more intense as the contractions can come harder and stonger but you have to factor in how dialated you r when you started abd how well your body takes the medication like do you progress faster or not.... there is no way if really knowing how it will be for you but just think that it doesnt last forever and in the end you get to meet you baby!!
