i was on the depo shot for almost a year and a half. i was never late getting it. but i didnt go in to get it this time. i didnt forget to but i just want to give my body a rest from it and get my normal periods. well i was suppost to go in and get it on the 7th of janurary. and me and my boyfriend have been having unprotected sex like 2times a day. but i am on my period i just started on the 16th. its not spotting its a full period with the cramps. my question is
is their a bigger chance u can get pregnant when you are on your period than when you are not???( o and my boobs about 4days b4 i got my period were so sore to the touch for about a week in a half) can that have been the shot. because one i got my peroid my boobs didnt hurt at all anymore.

Hi!
A woman is MORE likely to get pregnant when she is not bleeding.  BUT, anything can happen!  I have seen people get pregnant right away after stopping depo.  I have also seen people who still can't get pregnant 2 years later.
If you don't want a baby, you should really consider an alternate form of birth control such as a diaphragm or condoms if you want to avoid hormones for a while.
Don't forget about emergency contraception such as Plan B too!
I hope this is helpful!
