just wondering!

Hi my previous daughter was born still in her waters (with the sack in tact) I was just wondering if anyone else has had experience of this, and what are the chances of it happening again? With My first 2 daughters my waters were broken by the midwifes.

In Scotland we call it 'being born in the caul' and superstition says that it will be a very lucky child!

I saw that episode! I think her water did break, but the sac was still in tact around most of baby's body. I mean, there wasn't any fluid in it when she came out, so it had to have broken, right?

I actually just seen that for the first time a couple days ago on "a baby story" TV show... it would for sure be pretty rare as most moms whose water hasnt broke yet, either the Dr, nurse, midwife would break for the mom... on the show she kept calling her baby her little bubble baby... it was interesting for sure i never really thought babies could be born in the sac still.... not that i evre thought about it :) Yep your baby came into the world in a special way!

It's very rare for a baby to be born still in the sac. In some countries they say if a child is born that way they will grow up to do very special things:)
