negative blood test but still pregnant?

It all started when I fainted almost 3 weeks ago. I never fainted in my life! My period is about 8 to 9 days late now. A week and a half ago I started bloating like I never have before and my nipples hurt like crazy! It hurt to face the shower even. Then I started getting queasy and lightheaded. I started having to shave my legs every night because my hair keeps growing! Over the last 4 or 5 days, my lower abdonimal area where my uterus is started changing in shape. I felt little pangs and pokes that definitely weren't my usual awful cramps. It became more defined and my friends and fiance describe it as a "baby belly." My private area is also swelling and looking different! No sign of my period whatsover.. I'm also feeling tingling in my hands and feet and I read that could be a sign of pregnancy.

The problem is that I took 4 home pregnancy tests and a blood test last Monday and all came back negative. Anybody ended up still pregnant after negative tests? I'm so confused! The nurses at my doctor's office think I'm crazy. I'm not imagining this!

I had that all at 4 weeks and 2 days. I found out 2 days later I was pregnant. Never had a blood test to find out if I was prego. But never got negative when they should have been positive so I'm not sure. I've read about otherppl though

I had a negative blood and urine test.  I had been pregnant before so I knew how I felt. At 4 weeks I had a ultrasound that said I was not pregnant! However, at almost 7 weeks I was finally getting positive urine and blood! My 3 year old son is a living example that those test are not reliable!!

Thanks so much! I am going through something similar. My period is 12 days late, my breasts are sore and I have been getting negative results, but I just know that I am pregnant. I feel different. I am not on b/c and I never have missed my period like this. I just moved to Georgia 3 months ago and I don't have a dr. here so I am waiting for positive results. I am sorry for your loss, but thanks for posting your outcome. Your story can definitely help others!

I am sorry for your loss.. I did test negative on a blood test - the yes/no one - and I was pregnant... but it was still before I was late... take care of yourself.

It turns out I was pregnant but miscarried at 6 weeks. I was about 5 weeks at the time I posted this. So for those of you out there, listen to your bodies and your intuition. It's better than any blood test! Good luck and God bless.

If a blood test was negative then you are not pregnant.

All of the symptoms you describe do not occur as early into a pregnancy as you would be "if" you were pregnant - in fact, several would not occur until the 2nd trimester.

I would suggest that you see an OBGYN for a full workup.  There are several conditions that you should be screened for that can cause the symptoms you describe (PCOS, for example).
