With our first daughter we agreed on Alexis. It was the only name we could agree on! Then we had Becca who would have been Benjamin if she would have been a boy. Since we had A+B our third was our C, Carson. Now onto our final installment D, Damon. Becca everyone asks if its Rebecca, its not. Damon we get a lot of people who assume Damien. I just say no, Damon ya know like Matt Damon.
braydon wayne? pronounced brae-don it means prince... maybe that would suffice for his want of a junior...
On my husband's side, all the boys have biblical names, that we're aiming to follow that too. And my husband and his bother have a j names and for the next generation his nephew's name start with M, so we're think our little boy will follow his cousin with a M name like Matthew. Plus my husband's favorite car is MG. And G is the initial of our last name. So it's going to be fun to have a car theme nursery with the MG logo which is also the baby's initials.
And if it's a girl we're thinking something classic, still working on it.
My son's first name is his dad's middle name, he is Darnell Brian and his dad is Jamie Darnell. We were going to combine my middle & first name (Breanna Leigh) into Leighanna to sorta fit in but we had close friends name.their daughter Leanne so we just picked something pretty (Aurora Anne). Turns out on my dad's side, his great grandmother was Aurora and my mom's moms first name is Anne but she goes by her middle name so without knowing we made a family connection after all lol.
Im naming my son Caleb Edward. My dads middle is Edward, and my bfs dads name was Edward (he passed away) and my dad suggested the name Caleb. My bf and I both loved it so thats his name!
My husband and I both went through the lists of names online and made a list of ones we both liked and removed the ones the other didn't like. With the names that remained we then narrowed it down.
For my first girl we gave her my middle name and attached my sisters name who passed away Lisa-Jeanne. For this girl we are going to have her middle name be my first name, Elizabeth. So we go for the family connection on middle name and for first we go through a search phase and coming to an aggreance based on both our likes.
I kind of named my daughter after a character on "days" when i was in labor and on my way to the hospital. :) i was also named after a character on there. This time around I haven't come up with anything yet.
I am not sure why, but when I saw your dads name, Wayne, I thought of the name Wyatt. It is not too common, but not too odd either. When looking at names, my husband and I were always inspired by the name meaning. Wyatt means "brave/strong". Evan is common so I looked up variations and came across Ian, which means "God is forgiving". I love Wyatt Ian or Ian Wyatt. Good luck. Let us all know when you decide.
My baby girl's name is a variation of my mother's. Her name is Ermelinda; I couldn't imagine calling a child Erma or Linda, but I liked Emma and her dad did too so Emma it was. We both have religious backgrounds and I always loved Grace as a middle name, so Emma Grace it is. Also fits because we wanted a fairly short name as we're hyphenating her last name and we felt sorry for the poor kid in kindergarten lol, and we wanted a name that was classic and wouldn't work against her when trying to get a job one day. If it had been a boy, it would have been either my ex-boyfriend's name or my older brother's name (who passed away when we were teens, but was my best friend), or more likely, a combination of both. Since my ex didn't really want a "little Caleb" I told him I was planning on arm-wrestling him for it, or just sneaking it onto the birth certificate when he left the room. :)
My daughter is naming her daughter Makahla Imani. Had it been a boy, his name would have been David Gerrard after her uncle who passed away when he was 18.
The first name Jessica we both agreed on straight away the muddle name we had to talk about. He wanted Angila, named after his mom but I said he hasn't even told her and doesn't see her where as I wanted May named after my man who I cared for and myself. He agreed as she's getting his last name.
I love old fashioned names!!! If this baby had been another girl I liked Adelaide...my daughters names are Abigail Marie, Victoria Renee, and Madelyn Rose..this little guy is giving us problems tho!! ;-)
My son is named after my grandfather and he got his dads name for a middle name as it has been used for every boy on that side. My daughter is named after an island near where we lived at the time to reflect her heritage...plus it just suited her. Her middle name I chose just because it 'went' with her first. This time round I'm stumped!! My partner now has an Italian surname so we are finding it difficult to come up with something which fits!!
My hub and i use the middle names from our families, like my dads name is Ben Allen ad my FIL is Andrew Alan, so we have Austen allen, he's got my FIL's initials :)
We're having a girl this time and are going to combine our mothers middle names, Lynn and Ann, so LyAnn, but pronounce it Leeann.
im having a girl but i had my boys name picked out already too oscar i think is nice and unusal x
We used names from my boyfriends culture to pick out our girl name and used his fathers name for a boys middle name. My boyfriend its Samoan so the girl name we picked is fa,alupe Sophia. And the boys name will be kayden silou(not sure on the spelling of that he has only ever said it to me not written it down)
My son's name is Caleb I got his name out of the bible. I'm pregnant again and I'm still not sure if it set in stone yet but my brother passed away 2 years ago and plan on incorporating his name Andrew and the BD's brother who also passed Brandon...Brandon Andrew...I also like the name Bryce
My sons name is parker james. The only man I ever knew as a father died when I was 14 his name was james and I always knew my little boy would carry that name. I honestly can't say why I chose parker but gosh I adore it and he's so perfect and it just seems to fit him so well. This time around I have a stubborn bean so we are not completely positive but they believe it's a girl if that's the case penelope (because my husband and I both love criminal minds lol) elizabeth (after my best friend) and if it does end up being a boy tucker (because I thought it went cute with parker) curtis (after my husbands deceased uncle).
We're expecting now and stuck on the name Harrison for a boy. If we find out we're having another girl we joke we're going to name her that, too. :-p
My hubby's dad's side of the fam has a tradition of the oldest son taking the fathers name as a middle name (Jacob Christopher, Christopher Dee, so on and so forth) I liked that because it allowed my baby to have his own name but still be tied to family. Then my hubbie found Elias reading the Bible and I like the name Eli. So Elias Jacob, but he'll probably be called Eli.
Just a suggestion how about Evan Bradley? or maybe do Wayne as a middle name for another name you like? Like (insert name) Wayne?
I love that idea! Clara is a beautiful name... I love older fashioned names for girls. I had a girl name list a mile long... my family has been on a boy baby kick so I was hoping to break the cycle! My baby is all boy though, for sure. My husband likes "fisher" because his father and him love fishing............ I haaaaaaaate the name. I am so lost!
My husband and I went about picking our daughters name in a strange way. We found a site with older names, both made lists of the ones we liked, and tried to agree on one that was on both our lists. When we couldn't decide between two, we did a coin toss. She's nearly three now and there's no way I could imagine her as anything but Clara.
