AZO will not get rid of the infection, it will only mask the effects to make you more comfy.  I had reoccuring uti's every month for almost a year.  I finally developed a kidney infection which was worse than giving birth.  My doctor finally put me on antibiotics for two weeks and I didnt have another one for a year or more.

Its best if you get your cranberry juice from a health food store because the sugar in the grocery store juice just feeds the bacteria.  A doctor told me if you can handle it, it is better to just eat a handful of actual cranberries than to drink the juice.  And NO sodas!  Water is best.

Before I was pregnant I used to get them a lot and they are so annoying! Antibiotics didn't work for me because it came back so my friend recommended AZO and it went away that same day! It was amazing it cost me $4 at walmart and it was a 4 day pack you take 2 a day, only effect I got was dark orange pee but that's normal when taking those. Idk if you can take them while pregnant though, you could ask. It works wonders.

They don't always hospitalize it depends how bad it is. At 10 weeks they'll probably just give you an RX and tell you to drink plenty of water and cranberry juice.

when i had kidney stones and they thought it was a uti the nurses told me to do lemon juice shots, since i can't drink cranberry juice. the acid is suppose to help, like a concentrated cranberry juice. just thought i'd pass that on, in case you were interested in trying.
i've also recently discovered the awesomeness of apple cider vinegar. and a quick search and YES! apple cider vinegar will help with a uti! so you could try that too. i do 2 tbsps with half a cup water before every meal. its tart but the results are well worth it.
hope you are feeling better soon.

I was on antibiotic for a week and then they do a retest to make sure it's all clear. Not a big deal, lot of preggo ladies have it at the beginning. Just make sure you get it treated now before it turn into a kidney infection. And drink pently of water. Cranberry juice help too.
