no sign of period with 2 bpn

by teetee1001, Oct 29, 2009 12:57PM
my last period started on oct 1, 2009. as of late my cycle is an average 28 days. Normally i get very definite signs of af about a week before my af is due..this month i have had none. However i feel very sick most of the day with no vomitting, i have large blue veins in my breasts.Im also constipated and very gassy.I have had an incress in cm that is not normal for me at this point in my cycle. smells are also affecting me alot more than usual, also im am very tired all the time but have ALOT of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep... i had two bpn with first response on the 26th and again today, the 29th. I feel as though i might be preganant but am very confused at this point...I did have unprotected intercourse twice around the time of ovulation..been ttc for 7 months and am a little concerned that this is just my head playing tricks on me since i have been so focused on ttc. Should i wait and take another test?? how long should i wait before testing again??? is there anything else i can look for or do that might help me understand whats happening??  I appreciate any advise you can give...thank you in advance..

Hi!
It is always a good idea to repeat the pregnancy test.  I usually recommend repeating it about every 3-4 days (although I really doubt if anyone can wait that long!)  If a week passes and you still have no period and a negative test, you should probably give your doctor a call at that point.
Sometimes for my patients who are "trying" I prescribe Prometrium to start their period--this will only work if they are NOT pregnant.  If they are pregnant it is actually good for the pregnancy.
Good luck!

Well, every woman is different so I can’t say how different your body is to mine.  Both times I found out i was pregnant it was about 6 weeks after conception.  The very first time I suspected I was pregnant was when i was about 4 weeks along but the test kept coming up negative so I waited another week or so to test again.  My breasts were sensitive by then but with the first I was extremely moody.  I can’t remember when I started getting morning sickness and it really wasn’t so much morning sickness as it was me actually needing to eat. I would get hungry and nocuous at the same time.  Strong smells like exhaust, cigarette smoke, and tar anything like that would make me want to throw up.  Eggs for some reason also made me sick.  Funny thing is my oldest hates eggs.  Fast food and anything greesy would make me sick also.

please help me, i dont believe in abortion so its not an option,
